We had the room with a big square bath and balcony overlooking the mountains. The room was of a high standard, all the gadgets for lighting and air conditioning to make it comfortable during a September, very humid stay. Room cleaned and restocked really well each day. Staff on reception really helpful but you will need a translation app if you need to speak English but this was fine and wasn’t a problem, the staff in the cafe next door were really lovely and friendly. Great juices, just a few snacks, could have done with a wider food menu. We ate once in the restaurant in the hotel. Atmosphere was lacking a little and menu not to our taste but we appreciate food is very subjective.. what we did order was tasty. We didn’t get up for breakfast! One of the highlights is to go through the restaurant and up the stairs to the roof terrace, stunning views of the mountains. One thing to note is if you are in a mountain villa, there are a few stairs to climb, not a massive amount but if you have restricted mobility, 20 steps or so would be a challenge. Also this hotel is right on the road. We were on the fourth floor so not too affected and everything quiet at night, but for our afternoon snooze we could hear beeps of scooters/cars. The vehicles themselves are really quiet, mostly electric but the beeps when they overtake could be heard. We didn’t try the pool and gym, looked nice. Would we go back? Yes, we loved it, as it was mostly Chinese people and felt like an authentic stay.
