The "Avel Mor-DUXCAAR" wellness villa is located directly on the beachfront at "Plage du Vougot." Just 10 meters beyond the garden gate lies the expansive dune landscape of the beach of the same name. “Plage du Vougot” is a fine-sand beach more than three kilometers long, lapped by the waves of the turquoise Atlantic. You can take long walks right along the beach or through the surrounding dunes, and neighboring beaches are easily accessible from our beach.<br><br>For example, enjoy a few fresh local oysters at one of the many picnic areas along the beach, paired with a seaweed salad and a cider, and watch the sun dip yellow-red into the gentle waves of the Atlantic around 10:30 p.m. in the summer.<br><br>Stays in the fall and winter are also very impressive, when the Atlantic’s forces of nature create five-meter-high waves, over which kitesurfers soar with their colorful kites, and after a long walk in the salt-laden, spray-filled air, you can warm up again in the sauna or in front of the crackling fireplace with a good glass of red wine.<br><br>But as early as February, you can already enjoy the first signs of spring—with blooming camellias, daffodils, broom bushes, and more—in the countless small coves of the “Pays des Abers” and the mild air of the Gulf Stream.<br><br>Villa Avel Mor-DUXCAAR is a building in the classic Neo-Breton style. For example, the granite blocks typical of Brittany line the doors and windows. Also typical are the four dormers and the roof covered with natural slate. Villa Avel Mor-DUXCAAR has been and continues to be renovated on an ongoing basis, ensuring it remains up-to-date and comfortable. In recent years, a completely new kitchen has been installed, all bathrooms have been fitted with modern tiles and walk-in showers, and all windows have been replaced. However, great care was also taken to preserve typical local stylistic elements. For example, while the original Breton granite fireplace was modernized, its solid stone character—combined with the typical small, rounded windows of the firebox—was preserved. All four bedrooms have also been redesigned to be comfortable and high-quality, some even featuring a small granite work area to meet the needs of a “workation” stay. <br><br>The absolute highlight of the renovation was the spa area. An old “attic” was transformed into a light-filled space where you can always find peace and relaxation, even when the weather outside seems a bit unpleasant. Large skylights were installed to bring in natural light, and the ceilings were removed, creating a bright room with a height of over four meters. The large Jacuzzi takes center stage there; we’ve also created another spacious shower area and added an infrared sauna. Additionally, the spa area features four comfortable loungers for relaxation as well as an exercise bike. The entire spa area features a pleasant indirect lighting system made up of high-quality LED lights.<br><br><br>The entire house is furnished to a high standard, and in the kitchen in particular, great care was taken to ensure that the amenities meet the demands of French culinary “savoir-vivre.” Examples include a dedicated wine refrigerator, as well as smaller amenities such as Laguiole knives, oyster knives, lobster crackers, and similar items.<br><br>The property is located in the first row facing the sea, directly adjacent to the large, high Vougot dune. Walk through the garden gate and, after 10 meters, you’ll reach direct access through the dune hedge, which is more than three meters high.<br><br><br>The property itself is completely fenced in. In front of the house, facing west, there has been a huge wooden deck (50 m²) since 2020, featuring a terrace and spacious, comfortable rattan-style patio furniture. So feel free to spend many sunny hours there at noon or in the evening, listening to and smelling the sea, and catching a glimpse of it beyond the dune.<br><br>To the east of the house is a well-maintained lawn that can be used, for example, for a game of badminton on calm days. If it happens to be too windy coming from the sea, a second, smaller terrace facing southeast—shielded by the house and the spa area—offers a quiet and sheltered alternative.<br><br>The fenced-in property features two private parking spaces.
