Immediately upon arrival, we had trouble opening the door. Not because of the lock but because it’s SO hard to open - like I wish I would have brought football pads hard. Equally as hard to close. Once inside, I was certain we were in the wrong condo. Nothing looked the same. Even the furniture was different. There was dirty laundry in the floor and dirty dishes. The floor didn’t look like it had been swept or mopped. I then texted the number that we were given for issues. No one replied for over 2 hours. We were in the correct place. They offered to send a cleaning crew out the NEXT day. I was traveling with 2 adults and 5 kids. If you have kids, you know how much trouble that would have been for us to pick everything back up and get out of the way. We didn’t feel comfortable with someone coming in when our belongings were there. Not to mention COVID.
Also, in a condo listed for 8 people, you’ll find ONE chair on the balcony. That’s literally it. Not cool if you like to sit and drink coffee out there.
Now the building overall was a great location. It was the last building before the public beach, so it was not crowded at all. The building seemed to be taken care of. The only downfall was that there was no restroom (that I could find) by the pools, so we had to go back up to our condo several times. I didn’t mind that, but heads up for the people would.
Bottom line is I would stay in a different condo in the same building. I do not plan to ever use Southern Vacation Rentals again though.
