Sunnyside Up

The house was super cute & comfortable. Just enough space with all the essentials for the week. The deck was a favorite. The outside shower and separate garden hose area was great to quickly rinse the sand off from the beach. Beautiful views of sunset and easy, quick access to the beach. A wonderful place for family.

Excellent!

Our visit to Sunnyside Up was wonderful! The house was perfect for our family. House was super clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The pergola was our favorite spot! Just a short walk to the beach. The neighborhood was great for our early morning dog walks. Would recommend!

Perfect beach house

Our dogs loved sitting under the gazebo as did we. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and loved the kitchen. Two small suggestions. The kitchen cupboard doors and drawer faces need a good cleaning as well under the sink. Didn’t know what to do with 5 remotes in LR. Still, 5*.

Wonderful!

The views from this house are wonderful! It makes being back at the house still feel like you’re at the beach. We loved the covered seating on the deck. The accessories under the house were lots of fun including hammocks, a swing, and picnic area. The house was clean with all the necessary amenities. We enjoyed our stay very much!

This property is at a great location. Expected a cleaner house upon arrival but after contacting the property manager about it, she scheduled someone to come out to clean at a time that worked for my family. Overall, a good place to stay.

Perfect

The house and location were perfect for the two of us and our two small dogs. The deck was a comfortable place to relax with nice views of the water. The beach was easy to access just across the street. The house was clean, updated and pleasantly decorated. We loved the quiet location. We would love to come back!

Perfect house!

My husband and I came to Fort Morgan to celebrate our anniversary. This house was perfect for us and our little dog but would be great for a family too. It was one of the cleanest houses we’ve stayed in. Updated, decorated beautifully and had all the little extras most houses don’t supply. The access to the beach was very close. Bridgitte was very quick to respond to every question and easy to work with. Highly recommend!!

DO NOT Trust this Host

Wow, where to even start? I am not someone who enjoys writing negative reviews, but we had an absolutely terrible experience with this host. The house is absolutely adorable, and attractively advertised, but beware if anything goes wrong. Bridgitte and Craig will not be available to help you, except with lipservice. We arrived to the house on a Thursday evening to find that the AC was intermittently working. We immediately let them know and were told it would be taken care of asap. The host then waited until 11am on a Friday (the next day) to contact anyone to service the unit. We were then told that we would need to wait until Monday for someone to come out and look at it. On Saturday night, the AC stopped working entirely. This is Alabama in September, folks. It is HOT. The host simply told us she had done all that was expected of her and there was nothing more she could do. When we tried to contact the host via phone, we were repeatedly ignored, even after leaving multiple voicemails asking for a call back. We had to resort to contacting VRBO representatives, who then contacted the host themselves. Sunday morning, after leaving the house to escape the heat and heading to Orange Beach (30 min away), we were told, with no warning, that a handyman was at the door waiting for us to let him in and that he had a window unit with him. We left what we were doing to return to the house. He DID NOT have a window unit with him. He attempted to fix the HVAC unit, unsuccessfully, and then asked us to sit and wait there for him to go and retrieve the window unit. We sat for 2 HOURS in the hot house for him to return. By this time, we had enough of dealing with this instead of enjoying our vacation and decided to leave the house for another one close by. We were told by a VRBO representative that the host had agreed to give us a full refund for our trip. Turns out that was a lie and we are STILL waiting on a refund or any meaningful communication at all from the hosts. They do not answer phone calls or VRBO messages at this point. We feel absolutely scammed and robbed. I am incredibly confused by all of the 5 star reviews specifically mentioning the helpfulness and hospitality of the hosts. I would recommend you read these with a high level of skepticism.

Great location!

Fantastic host, we were extremely pleased with how quickly and thoroughly Bridgitte handled even our least concerns! House was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well supplied, and I loved the extra pillows tucked away in the closet. The pergola was our favorite seating area to relax and watch the dolphins, ships, beach-goers and sunsets! Will definitely recommend to friends and family who want to be away from the crowds.

My third time staying here in the last 10 yrs. In our opinion you can’t beat the value of staying here for what you get. The location, the amenities, the property and owners are all top notch, and for the price; you get the most bang out of your buck. Will stay here again if the lord is willing and the ocean don’t rise!

Happy thanksgiving!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Our family gives thanks at the beach and this was a great time. The deck needs a cleaning and an upgrade for the table & chairs. The back bathroom shower did not get hot and tended to spray over the top. The thermostat was tricky but the owners replied to us about getting it adjusted. The kitchen is very up to date and beautifully renovated. We gifted the kitchen an oven mitt. The view from the deck is beautiful, swing is awesome, and the short walk to the beach is perfect! We would be glad to stay again.😊🌞🌊
