Great family vacation!

We enjoyed every second of our stay. The house is walking distance to the beach and on off weather days the pool was amazing!

Great location near the beach & spacious for a family get away! Had some issues with plug ins working in the master bedroom and a few bugs in the kitchen cabinets!

Nice private property!

Very nice property, everything worked, home was very clean, close to beach (we walked there at least 3 days). There were 8 in our group and we had a great time.

If we go back to g.s. we will rent from them again.

Great location

This property was in a great location to the beach. Very close walk. The house could use a few fixer ups but overall it was a great place to stay.

Our stay in Perky Pelican

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay, but the house needs some serious maintenance. We will not stay here again. Addressed the issues we had with the realty company after our stay.

Not happy with Bender reality .

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was awesome..although we were told we had to wait on the inspector. We parked at the house and some of went to the inspector ever came..then sent code 2.45..we were told we could have early check-in since it was empty. I found 2 bugs on the counter and broken tile in the master bedroom. I have pictures..otherwise we enjoyed the house and the pool.. not pleased with Bender communication .

A Wonderful Vacation at Perky Pelican, Gulf Shores

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from a week’s vacation at the Perky Pelican. It was a beautiful, clean house with an awesome pool and outdoor area. The location is just a short walk to a public beach access area. Our interaction with Bender Realty was super throughout the whole process. We even asked for an iron on a Sunday, and it was delivered within the hour. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!P.S. A variety of places we enjoyed: Jesse’s On The Bay, Louisiana Lagniappe, Lulu’s, Cobalt, Big Beach Brewing, Mud Bugs, The Keg, Tacky Jack’s at Perdido Bay, The Gulf, Zeke’s

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This beach house is wonderful! We had a great time & really enjoyed the house. It’s an easy short walk to the beach. Having a private pool was great! Grandkids loved the outside dock decor. Great location. Just a short drive to restaurants, entertainment and shopping. Well maintained. Very clean but needs a deep cleaning.All four bedrooms are spacious. Beds were very comfortable, clean soft sheets. We all slept very well. It’s a very quiet area. We were never woken up by loud people, horns, sirens, loud music etc..The kitchen/living area is spacious. We never felt crowded with all 9 of us in the area. Loved the large tall dining table. We could all sit around it comfortably.Some did not like being in kitchen/living area at night because there are no blinds. They felt like they were in a fish bowl with no privacy.We had one small issue one evening and first thing the next morning it was fixed.We would definitely stay here again.

When I first arrived to the property, it was okay. A little dirty but nothing that we couldn’t get somewhat clean. It’s within walking distance of the beach and has a pool which was awesome. When it got to night time, we started to see multiple roaches coming out from under the fridge, oven, and counters. It kept getting worse. I was texting with the property manager, I’m assuming, and was told they sent pest control the day of our check in. They asked if I wanted to have pest control come back and I said yes but there was no evidence of that because we continued to see roaches. When it was time for us to leave, there was one in a sand bucket. We had to wash our comforters on the bed because there were nasty stains on them. And through all of that my family still washed and folded their towels. Yet, when I was being courteous to the hosts, I was texting to let them know when we were leaving on our departure day, I discovered my number being blocked. Even when we called trying to figure out how to let out the sofa bed, the manager had a horrible attitude. It was not a great experience. It made sleeping there very uncomfortable and unsanitary. No guest should have to clean up after any host. We were never offered any compensation for this stay, they’ve blocked my number anyway. Would not book with this company again.

Great size for 2 families of 4 (total of 4 adults and 4 teens). Location was excellent, about 5min walk to the beach.Bender (property management) was super responsive to all of our concerns.The 2 star rating is a reflection of the property conditions. Right away when we walked in we could tell the house could use some basic maintenance and cleaning. Some issues we saw with the house:1. Oven made a "beeping" sound from the minute we walked in and through out the night. Eventually on the 5th night we woke up to the smoke detectors going off. The oven randomly went into cleaning cycle and smoke from the oven set the alarms off. Bender did send a technician the next day but they could not fix the oven; we went 3 extra days without the ability to cook.2. While the smoke was inside the house, we tried to open two windows and the safety latch did not work; the windows slammed down right away (safety hazard).3. Toilet paper holder in one of the bathrooms fell off the wall on the first day. Bender send someone to fix it but the fix did not work and the holder came off the wall immediately after the person left.4. House has 3 fans on the porch; none of them worked. All fan blades were missing in one of the fans.5. Bed sheets had stained on them.Overall the house had enough issues and the collection of those issues made our stay not ideal.Bender did reimburse us some amount to cover the inconvenience.

Great Place for Beach Fun!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect for location to the beach and other necessities! We rented bikes for the week which was awesome for exploring the neighborhood. Loved the pool, I don’t think my family can vacation without one now! Only recommendation I have is for minor maintenance to the house, such as fixing loose cabinets and drawer coverings,, we had an accident with one that could have been prevented! Otherwise, we had a great stay and would consider returning!
