Excellent Getaway Spot

Training camp with success at Gulf Shores

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For all February 2023, our first presence at Gulf Shores was a good experience to the point to return next year. A nice ourside heated pool at Orange Beach, an open to public athletic track accessible, a 3 levels building that is very human including an elevator. Fantastic!

Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival staff was not very friendly when I was checking in and our room was not ready had to wait when I made reservations did not inform me that I could request an early check in. The room was clean but the master room only had a full size bed for two adults would recommend putting at least a queen size bed in. The property was nice and we meet great people there. If we return will request a room on the end near the ocean for a better view

Perfect Condo for a Golf Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Working with Bender is as easy as pie. The folks are awesome. Sandpiper is a wonderful place to get a large group of folks together. The rooms are open to the outside and in close proximity. The pool is large enough to accommodate everyone and the beach is a few easy steps away.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Three beds for three bodies. The kitchen was properly apportioned, and the rooms were clean and clutter-free. We had easy access to the pool and the beach. We were allowed to enjoy ourselves around the pool without being hassled by overbearing security, and we enjoyed the folks who were staying around us.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was not cleaned properly upon arrival. Toilet lid underneath was soiled with excrement even though there was a ribbon around the seat saying it had been properly cleaned. Kitchen floor still had debris in a few areas. And, one of the living area chairs was missing the bottom front left leg.

Not quite what we thought

While we booked this last minute, I was surprised to see that the pictures and description didn’t really convey this property. There is no balcony in this unit. There are front areas with two chairs and two small tables. This is a three story U shaped condo building with all units facing at an angle inward to the courtyard and pool. Only beachfront were on the ends of the U. While it stated it was ocean view that was simply not the case unless you walked up to the rail and leaned over. This was a courtyard view. The amenities in this unit were extremely sparse and I’m guessing that was due to covid but no hand soap in the bathrooms, the toilet paper and paper towels were the lowest level you can purchase, there was no dish soap provided or any leftover plastic wrap, etc. The living room chairs are unbearable to sit on. The bottom of them appears to be about to let loose. The wifi was weak. This condo unit is not close to much. So no walking to restaurants or shopping. You just drive. On the upside, the condo is very roomy, and decorated well. The kitchen was well equipped. The pool was heated and extremely nice. The beach area is beautiful, wide and an easy walk. They have carts for your luggage and a nice big elevator. It was quiet at night. Many families were there during our stay so expect the pool to stay busy. The grounds were very well maintained and people were friendly and respectful of social distancing.

Our keypad lock stopped working halfway through the week and Bender was very prompt in getting out there to get it fixed for us, they were great to work with. We had a great week and would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed at several different condos at the Sandpiper and this one was bright and had plenty of seating in the living room. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great vacation for the most part. Microwave went out on our second day in. With three kids this causes a little confusion and unneeded stress. This issue was reported ASAP... but didn’t get fixed until last Friday when we check out Saturday. Seem like Bender is dropping the ball on customer experience and quality of making it the best experience. On the positive side we love staying at the Sandpiper we come every year!

We’re a guy’s golf trip (50’s and 60’s) so we don’t have a lot of kitchen/appliance needs; however, we did have everything we need. The satellite TV worked and had a great sports package. The restrooms/showers were clean and in great working order. We will be back.
