Great place and beautiful view

Great property for two adults and 8 kids ages 16-7. Plenty of room. Tons of extra pillows and blankets. Kitchen had everything we needed. The view from the balcony was beautiful and a very short walk to the beach. Loved that the balcony overlooked the pool. Will definitely stay again.

Week away with the family

Small outdated condo. No cupboard space for food. Would be a nice quiet location if we didnt have to share pool with rowdy vacation homes aross the parking lot. Chasing crabs on the beach at night was the most fun

Review

This was our 3rd time staying at these condos. Really liked the loft. First time to have that. Everything was great. Only complaint i have is our dishes were dirty. I had to re wash a hand full of items that was put back up in the cabinets.

Perfect getaway

We stayed the week of July 4th. The condo is exactly as prescribed and fit our family of 2 adults, 2 children and one teen. The Condo and property were very clean. The beach was not crowded at all and they do have beach chair rentals during on season. Short 15-20 minute drive into downtown Gulf Shores. We ate at the Sassy Bass Grill on the property one night and the food was great. I would definitely return here next year!

Great area that is not commercialized so less traffic and noise. Beaches clean and property extremely well kept, clean and pools very nice.

The Dunes are the best

This is our fifth time returning to The Dunes. This condominium was spacious and had easy access to the pools and the beach. We had an amazing time. Our children had room to spread out. There is no where better to take your family if you are looking for the perfect place at the beach, this is it!

First time with VRBO and Gulf Shores. Weather forecasts weren’t too accurate so don’t fret if it calls for rain. Beach was awesome with Convenient access. It’s about a 15ish minute drive to town which we enjoyed as it seemed quieter and less busy. There are carts next to the elevator which made hauling our stuff much easier. We had 6 of us stay here - kids ranged 15 to 9. We live in a small house so even with all of us plus gear we didn’t feel too cramped. Besides why spend a bunch of time in the condo when there is a beach right there? We’d book here again if we have another vacation opportunity.

Great spot and value

The condo was a nice value for this location. Had some unsavory interactions with inexperienced Security and was sad that a beach rental had no beach “stuff” like chairs or towels. But overall we are glad we stayed and would like to return!

Amazing stay!

We had the best time, so much that we asked if we could extend one more day but it was already booked. This property was just as described, proximity to the beach is amazing! We used the pool directly in front of our unit however there was no shortage of pools on the property! It is a drive to Gulf Shores which made me very nervous upon arrival, however, it didn’t stop us at all. We went into town twice but otherwise stayed in Fort Morgan, the beach is perfect there! Communication with Mel is super fast and everything at the condo was great. Would 110% return and recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Great secluded location!

The condo and property were extremely well cared for. We loved the beach access and being so far down the strip it wasn’t ever really busy. It’s a bit of a drive to town but we knew that going in. There were a couple things that annoyed me. One of the condos was undergoing some construction and there was a large lift parked outside of it. The lift took up 8 spaces and the storage container took up another 8 spaces. I can see needed the lift right at the condo to work on it but nobody used it in the 6 days we were there. Parking is already limited for the building we stayed in and this made it a little inconvenient. Also, the condo only comes with 4 bath towels. I’m glad I noticed this and paid extra for more towels. I think it would be a good idea to at least leave enough towels for the number of guests staying. I’m still giving 5 stars because it really was a great spot and the property was very well cared for.

Beautiful property

I always have an easy time renting through VRBO. The condo was beautiful and the location was perfect. The only thing we didn't like was the drive into town was a bit long but we made do. The property was gorgeous and beach access was perfect. The condo was clean and a good size for our family of 5.

Thanksgiving 2021

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving at the condo. There was everything we needed in the kitchen to cook a fantastic Thanksgiving meal. The amenities were excellent and the beach was beautiful. My family had a great vacation.
