The owner of the home was incredibly hospitable and what's some might perceive as abrasive was just him being really helpful and wanting his guests to experience the area as he's obviously very passionate about where he lives in the history surrounding it, which it is very rich in. My friend and I loved our experience here, and we felt really safe. The one thing to be mindful of is given is traditional Korean house, there is not a lot of sound insulation but fortunately for our stay the other guests were really respectful and mindful of their noise level. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to be in a more traditional environment and be welcomed as family and not a sterile hotel environment. The location was really beautiful too and we spent the whole day walking around, it was a beautiful evening walk along the river to get back. Also very convenient for buses.

Hanokスタイルを初めて体験したので、他と比較はできませんが、とてもアットホームで雰囲気も温かい宿でした。ご夫婦で経営されていて、ベッドカバーなどが手作りで可愛らしかったです。また、客室だけでなく、お茶と談話ができるお部屋やキッチン、また屋根の上で朝食も頂けて落ち着ける場所でした。私たちは一泊しかできませんでしたが、きっと長期滞在してもいいなじゃないかなと思いました。場所も中心部に近くて、徒歩で移動できながらも静かでよかったです。おじさんがかなり面白くて、友達と笑っちゃいました。とーってもお世話好きな様子が伝わってきました。英語が達者で、ちょっと遅く到着した私達に日暮前や夜景見にどこに行ったら良いとか、次の日の石窟庵と仏国寺に行くタクシーを手配してくれたり、時間の心配や段取りの細かいところまで張り切って仕切ってくれました。放っておいて欲しいタイプの人はホテルの方がいいと思いますが、私と友達にとっては韓国の情の厚さと温かさに触れる良い機会でした。奥さんは物静かで温かい人でした。タクシーの運転手さんもおじさんのお友達なのか、この方もめちゃくちゃ親切で優しい方でした。 シャワーについては、アジアで時々あるトイレと一体型なので慣れていない人は戸惑うかも知れませんが、シャワー自体は新しく熱いお湯が勢いよく快適でした。床も意外にも早く乾きました。事前にチャットのやり取りで到着時間は正確に教えて上げると良いです。私は到着時間が遅れることをきちんと伝えたりコミュニケーションをちゃんと取っていたので、喜んでくれていたと思います。

Het verblijf in deze hanok viel tegen. De gastheer was druk en opdringerig.We hadden een kamer met eigen badkamer geboekt maar onze badkamer bleek buiten te zijn op de binnenkoer. Dit zou beter vermeld worden bij het boeken. Na twee nachten mochten we wel, mits bijbetalen, naar een kamer met badkamer binnen. Deze hanok ligt ook ver buiten het centrum van de stad.

경주박물관 바로 근처라 박물관 이용하기 편리합니다. 불국사나 황리단길 가는 버스가 숙소 바로 근처에 있어서 이동하기 편리해요. 주요 역사 유적지 ㅡ 첨성대 동궁과 월지 월정교까지 모두 걸어다녔는데 걷기 좋아하는 사람은 아주 좋은 위치입니다. 위험하지도 않고 길도 좋습니다. 동궁과 월지가 재일 가깝고 첨성대까지도 걸을만 하고. 저는 사실 숙소에서 버스타고 황리단 서라벌사거리에내려서 거기서부터 황리단 길 구석구석, 대릉원 천마총, 첨성대 교촌마을 월정교까지 갔다가 동궁과 월지까지 그리고 숙소까지 다 하루에 걸어다녔는데 걷기 힘든 분들도 동궁과 월지, 첨성대 정도까진 충분히 걸을만한 거리일 듯해요. 사장님 내외분이 무척 부지런하셔서 매우 깔끔합니다. 건넌방에 묵었는데 단독화장실이지만 마당 나가서 별도로 있어서 좀 불편합니다. 비오고 추운 날엔 많이 불편하니 감안하세요. 직접 다 만드신 광목침구에 실내슬리퍼, 매트 인형까지, 비치해주시는 치솔 샴푸 어느하나 대충 하지 않고 세심히 정성들인 흔적이 보여요. 좋은 녹차 우엉차 등 차잎과 다기들도 마련되어 있고, 키친도 아주 깔끔해요. 아침식사까지 제공해 주셔서 감사했는데 너무 이른시간 방마다 문 두드려 깨워주시는 건 좀 힘들었습니다. 하지만 매우매우 만족스러운 숙소였고 감사한 마음으로 후기 남겨요!♡

A genuine hanok stay. It isn’t a hotel so it’s gonna be different than the conventional expectations. You feel like you’re in a very Korean old timey home. And the hosts were super friendly

Our stay was wonderful. The property is lovely to stay at and comfortable. We enjoyed talking with the host about the best way to spend our time in gyeongju. He brought us a delicious simple breakfast, which was great because it has been challenging to find places open in the early hours.

The owner was so friendly and helpful! The bed was very comfortable. The location was great—so close to the historic center—walkable to the beautiful park, Wolji and bridge, all of these are awesome to see at night. Just walk, don’t take a taxi tour.

Incredible Host!

Our stay here was lovely. The owner was kind and incredibly helpful — he gave us a map and directions on the best ways to see all the sights we were interested in. The rooms were spotless and the beds had heating pads, which were so cozy, as we were traveling in the fall and it was getting cool. All around a great stay — highly recommend for anyone looking for a more authentic experience unlike those you get at a regular hotel.

주인부부께서 이것저것 챙겨주시고 굉장히 친절하셔서 좋았어요^^ 여행와서 이렇게 경상도의 정을 느껴보고 가네요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 방도 깨끗하고 약간 일본의 료칸? 느낌 나는 퓨전한옥이라 보시면 될 것 같네요ㅎㅎ 안압지, 첨성대랑 위치가 가까워 아침밤으로 산책하기 좋아요 사진은 이틀 동안의 아침 조식입니다ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Very friendly and very supportive hosts. The interior made with a lot of personal cosy individual touch. As guests we felt like at home. The stay in Yettle was a real pleasure. This beautiful traditional Korean house became our home for short but unforgettable stay. The location very conveniant.

My family and I had a WONDERFUL stay at Yettle Hanok. Jung and his wife were lovely hosts who welcomed us, showed us a map so we could get our bearings and even offered suggested activities for the day so that we would be able to experience all the sights and experiences. We rented the entire home and found it be spacious, comfortable and clean. It was such a unique experience to stay in a traditional hanok-style home. The home is walking distance to the Gyeongju National Museum and a bus stop with buses that will take you right into town. My family loved every minute of our stay and are so grateful for the hospitality and warmth of our hosts!

Excellent stay in a traditional hanok home — very cool experience and you cannot beat this location. Walking distance to all the main sites and the host is extremely helpful and friendly. We were able to meet other guests and hang out in a friendly atmosphere. Early wake up for breakfast but that did not bother us. We really loved the city and stayed 2 nights.
