Dear Guest! We are very sorry for the inconvenience, however we would like to inform you that we only accept Visa or Mastercard. As you mentioned theoretically we try to accept AMEX cards but we can not gurantee that your payment will go through. This is sadly a nationwide problem due to the fact that in Hungary only one bank has a contract with AMEX and every payment has to go through this one bank. If a hotel/restaurant works with an other bank, the payment by AMEX has to go through at least two banks. First the one bank, with whom the hotel/restaurant has their contract, than the other (and only) one who has a contract with AMEX. Usually the second round of verification does not go through, but this is totally out of our control. We kindly ask our guests to have an other type of card (Visa or Mastercard) with them, in order to avoid this difficulty. We are sorry that you could not pay with any card during your last visit.
