Antietam Creek - Cabaña tranquila de 2 habitaciones

Esta cabaña tranquila se encuentra en 5 acres aislados entre Boonsboro y Sharpsburg en Keedysville, MD. Está rodeado de altos robles y pinos. Un camino ancho conduce a Antietam Creek, popular para la pesca, el kayak y los tubos.

La edad mínima para alquilar es de 25 años. Las familias con niños son bienvenidas.

La casa NO TIENE WIFI ni TV. La chimenea no es de leña. Hay una estufa de gas para calentar. No hay aire acondicionado. La piscina está abierta desde el Día de los Caídos hasta el Día del Trabajo y NO está climatizada, aparte de la energía solar. El propietario no vive en la propiedad, pero se reserva el derecho de visitar y mantener el paisaje y el exterior según sea necesario. Durante el verano, el propietario puede usar la piscina brevemente y a horas razonables. Los huéspedes serán notificados de las horas de llegada con mucha antelación.

45 minutos en coche de Whitetail Ski Resort (30 millas) para esquí alpino y tubos de nieve; 1 hora a Gettysburg, PA; 8 minutos al campo de batalla de Antietam; 15 minutos a Shepherdstown, West VA (7 millas); 30 minutos en coche de Harpers Ferry; 30 minutos en coche de Hagerstown, MD y Frederick, MD; 1. 5 horas de Washington, D. C. Un paseo en taxi (o bicicleta) desde el sendero para bicicletas del canal C&O (Snyders Landing 7. 5 millas) y el sendero de los Apalaches en el Parque Estatal Washington Monument (7 millas).

Did a small girls night here and we had the best time! Out there and quiet for a get away and plenty to do inside for colder weather we loved the bookshelf full of board games and books and the piano to tinker around on! The gas fireplace kept the whole place cranking with heat no problems Definitely would stay here again!

When got there late to check in Friday night. We got into the cabin and noticed it was freezing. The heat was turned up max but still freezing. We looked around the cabin and noticed hardly no privacy or coverings for the windows. We looked in the bathroom and noticed a window without a blind in the shower with a see through covering, no way to cover that window forPrivacy use of the bathroom. We also noticed used food piled in the freezer and fridge door. Due to privacy issues of the bathroom facilities and lack of warmth we left and made other arrangements for accommodations . We did reach out to the owner without ANY type of communication back. We are now working with VRBO to spite this due to privacy issues of the bathroom facilities, used food in fridge and lack of heat. This was not what I have ever experienced with an VRBO rental. Very disappointed and still have not heard from the owner, three days and counting!

Beautiful setting

The location of the property in the surrounding area is beautiful. I appreciate it. It was a fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishes, cups, etc. you would need to cook. The gas range was top-quality and they had a nice Weber charcoal grill for outside. The wear and tear on the property is pretty significant.. the skirting around the pool is in poor shape and needs to be addressed. It’s kind of an eyesore.. There’s three ceiling fans in the cabin unfortunately only one of them works. There’s no air-conditioning so the ceiling fans are kind of critical. They do have a portable floor fan that you can move around where you need to cool off. Unfortunately, one bedroom does not have a ceiling fan of any kind and the other bedroom has a broken ceiling fan so you have to be kind of strategic about how you placed the fan on the room. There is a lot of expires dry goods in the pantry. The fridge is loaded with

4th of July Blast

This is my familys second time staying at Lisa's property. Each time the cabin has been clean, well stocked, and no issues whatsoever. Lisa is very easy to communicate with and the property itself is special. From the relaxation under the canopy of trees, to the pool and creek access, there is plenty for a family to do. We look forward to our next annual trip!

Super relaxing! Pool, cabin, location amazing!

Cool even with no AC. Key is to open windows at night let the coolness in, Close windows and coverings during daytime. Fans on continuously to circulate the air… Chefs kiss!!

very private rustic cabin. bordered be Antietam creek (creek access not so easy though). great acoustics! used to look forward to visiting Dan's Tavern in Boonsboro, which is nearby, but it was closed down by some bigots.

Unbelievable Beautiful Location and So Peaceful

The location and property is AMAZING! You feel like you are on a mountain cabin in the Canadian wilderness, but you are still in Maryland! Totally secluded. WiFi is strong. Property is as described. Only feedback is the cabin was FREEZING cold, and guest may want to consider bringing an extra space heater. It took most of the night to hear up.

Pretty place

We stayed one night and didn’t do anything besides sleep since we arrived late and left early. The kitchen was well equipped , though we didn’t cook. Very peaceful with a nice view of the creek. It would be really lovely in the summer.

Wish we'd stayed longer

We were visiting with family in Boonsboro and arrived late in the evening and left by 9am, but everything was there that we would have needed for a longer stay, which we have planned for Thanksgiving. Kitchen was very well equipped, the space was inviting, the beds were comfy and the view out the back was great, Looking forward to our return!

Convenient Cabin But Be Aware

If you have allergies do not stay at this house. When we arrived, it appeared the house had not been checked on or aired out in several weeks. It smelled dusty and musty. We opened the windows and turned on all the fans so that it would be cool enough to sleep that night. By the way, a premiere host would have done that for us. We had been dreaming all day of how nice it would be to jump in the pool and I had been willing to pay more for this listing so we could have one. But when we arrived the pool was in no condition to use. The directions were that we had to use a pump to remove water from the cover and then use a mechanical pool cover and then fill the pool because the water level had really dropped. A premiere host would have made sure that the pool was ready for guests to use. We made this reservation almost a month in advance. When we returned after dinner we almost left to go somewhere else after realizing there was mold in the tub shower, sheets were dusty, fans that we were using to keep us cool were very dusty. When we plugged in the fans there were spider webs or dust along the baseboards. In the kitchen there were spider webs in every corner. I question being able to use VRBO at all in the future because this listing was not accurate. The bathroom was the worst one I have encountered with a rental anywhere. There was a large tree branch covering the walkway and leaves and debris covering the porch as if not cared for in awhile.

Get away from it all!

The charm of this cabin is the selling point for me. This was our 2nd stay and we were not disappointed. The canopy in the woods kept us cool despite no a/c in the cabin. It was completely comfortable. The pool is private and perfect for a summer weekend getaway. The owner is very accommodating and respectful. We will be going back every year that we can!

Great location with a rustic vibe

My sons and I spent 5 nights in this spacious cabin in the woods. It was a great spot for visiting surrounding Civil War locations and the local towns. Being in the woods and so close to Antietam Creek made the experiences even more memorable. Access and communications were timely and easy. Really a great choice!

Birthday Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa's property. The property was well stocked and although no air conditioning, with the pool and in the canopy of the trees, it was very much bearable. My favorite aspect was definitely the creek and getting to unwind peacefully. The place could use a good deep cleansing but you're camping, so for me it was kind of expected.

Great Visit to Antietam and Harpers Ferry

The Antietam Creek cabin was a great base for our visits to Antietam Battlefield and Harpers Ferry. Check-in was easy with the lock box on the door. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The pool was cool and refreshing. The cabin does not have air conditioning, but there are plenty of fans to keep the air moving.
