  • Sargeant Bay Hideaway is a 600 sq foot cottage in a private 1/2 acre park like setting.
    French doors from both the kitchen and bedroom lead you to a wraparound porch nestled amongst towering trees and
    flora.

    A 12 minute walk to Sargeant Bay Provincial Park and to our Welcome Woods Grocer/Deli/
    BC Liquor Store. I

    Perfect for couples or small families looking for a memorable getaway.

    We hope your stay in our little abode will allow the Sunshine Coast to steal your hearts, as it did ours.

A warm welcome from the hosts and a well designed, comfortable cottage. Encircled by a lovely garden. Great stay for my adult daughter and myself with room to have family over for dinner.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Lots of outdoor space for our five-year old to play with. The outdoor gas fire place was lovely in the evening and the record player made for a nice touch! I strongly recommend this space if you are looking for a place to stay in the Sergeant Bay area.

This property is beautiful and the cottage looks just like the photos. Very pet friendly! The hosts live by the cottage and provided any extra things we needed. Kitchen fully stocked and Susan made focaccia and provided a lovely balsamic and olive oil with white wine. So divine!

Lovely quiet getaway, centrally located to Sechelt and hiking that we came for. Hosrs were very friendly and knowledgeable!

Cozy cottage in great area

The cottage was easy to find and access. It is small but comfortable and has several lovely areas outside where we were able to entertain local friends. The cottage was well equipped and perfect for our needs as a base to visit friends and enjoy the local area. The owners were friendly and helpful and we would happily stay their again.

Romantic great decorated cottage

Very warm welcoming with smiles of Susan and Dave, excellent presentation of the cottage and super delicious bread. Stars shined during nights in a peaceful atmosphere and relaxed cottage and backyard. Professional BBQ and well designed cottage made a fabulous memorable moments in our two nights staycation.

Rest and Relaxation Weekend

Home away from home! Little gem so close to the beach. Nice and quiet. Hosts made us feel so welcome! Would highly recommend and we are already planning our next visit.

Susan and Dave were amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy in our stay and provided us with some great advice on local attractions and hikes. The fresh made focaccia, the bottle of wine, chocolate and biscuits to make smores as well as the dog treats were an added personal touch that was appreciated.

My partner and I had a lovely time staying here. Susan was a wonderful host, attentive but also gave us our space. The cottage is very sweet and charming. Would recommend, especially for couples! Oh and the fresh baked focaccia was such a generous welcome gift.

Wonderful stay in a magical location

Wonderful little cottage, beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything necessary. Very clean and cozy and lots of attention to details. Serene and peaceful location. Hosts did the best to accommodate every single need we'd have. Thank you Susan and Dave for the hospitality!

Summer Weekend Getaway

A perfect slice of peace

Susan & Dave have thought of everything to make the perfect stay. Literally EVERYTHING! It’s so quiet that the first morning we slept in until 10:30am. We’ll definitely be going back.

Perfect Cottage

This cottage is lovely. The hosts have thought of everything, no detail left out. The outdoors spaces are as well thought out; porch for morning coffee and back space for a BBQ and night time fire. The location is peaceful, yet close to Sechelt. The hosts are friendly and kind. Our welcome was so warm and thoughtful. Highly recommend this cottage for a couple or a single.

No problems communicating with friendly, personable owners, check-in easy. Kitchen well-equipped, outside grill worked well, bed comfortable. Pleasant surroundings with flowers, forest, and bird song. Weather was not uncomfortably hot during our stay, but we noted several fans were available. Location good for our goal of daily visits to ocean-side parks for walking/hiking.

An Excellent Experince For Our Small Family

We had an absolutely fabulous experience in the small cozy cottage with a kitchen with everything we needed. We enjoy the fire pit and the record player and record collection immensely. The large french doors off the main living area and the bedroom onto the wrap around veranda made this space feel so much larger. Thank you so much for such a wonder space to enjoy some family time.

Mountain biking romantic getaway

Very quaint cottage, clean comfortable warm, excellent rapport with hosts. Covered fire pit, full kitchen with all necessary cookware, Susan left a welcome homemade focaccia yummy bread and wine for our enjoyment. 5 stars all the way. What a gem this is! Clean and comfortable is just the beginning. From a well appointed kitchen to thoughtful little things like spare reading glasses, the owners clearly take a lot of pride in hosting. And the cottage is just darn cute!! The outdoor spaces really made it, from the patio set that was perfect for our morning coffee to the private covered firepit with cosy chairs and blankets where we enjoyed a rain storm. Many thanks to Susan and Dave who were friendly, responsive and accommodating both before and during our stay.
