    Despite its many modern amenities, the apartment retains its historic charm, highlighted by its location on the second floor of a building without an elevator, adding to the authenticity of the experience. A shared coin-operated washer and dryer in the basement and the absence of air conditioning underscore the property's blend of traditional and contemporary living. The unique design approach, featuring rooms crafted by different local designers, adds an exclusive touch to the stay, ensuring that each guest finds a space that resonates with their personal style and comfort.

    The area buzzes with activity, offering a mix of peaceful daytimes and lively evenings. With everything from cultural landmarks to nightlife easily accessible, it's the perfect spot for those looking to experience the essence of Halifax up close.

    Located in a commercial short-term rental zone, this area is more accepting of noise, providing a more relaxed atmosphere for your stay.



    Getting Around:

    Walking, bicycle, driving is all very easy from here.



    PARKING (CONTINUOUS):

    In Halifax, parking availability is limited. To efficiently manage the small number of parking spots available and enhance our guests' experience, we've collaborated with the parking operator, 'Honk.' Guests can conveniently select their desired parking duration and make payments by scanning the QR code displayed on the parking sign or with the provided link. Please make sure to register your vehicle to prevent any potential tickets from parking enforcers.



    - The guest can arrive any time and purchase the nightly rate for $10 valid until 11:00 am.

    - The rate is called "continuous parking" which means that once they leave, the spot might be gone.

    - The rate is intended to have guests pay a full night without moving the vehicle.

    - The rate expires at 11:00 am.



    As an alternative: there is an option to buy hourly rates at $1 per hour.



    Other Things to Note:

    Urban experience where the sounds of neighboring life may be heard.



    The apt is on the second floor, no elevator in the building.

    There is only a shower, no bathtub.

    There is no AC.

    There is a shared coin-operated washer/dryer in the basement.

This was a great place close to downtown. Although we recommend this place there is only really 3 bedrooms one with a king, queen and a single bed. There is a pullout bed in the living room which is not convenient. What is called a 4th bedroom has a sectional sofa that makes it hard to get in the room and would not be a great place to sleep. Excellent support from management!! Thank you for everything!!

Great place to stay in the south end

This was the upstairs unit of a multi-unit historic looking home. Close to downtown, and great for exploring Halifax.

Location, location, location

What this rental lacks in amenities and cleanliness, it makes up for in location.Downsides: not super clean, very under-equipped kitchen, and only one bathroom (and the door didn’t lock ).Upsides: Amazing location. Grocery store, restaurants and the waterfront are just steps away.Parking is hit and miss, but easy enough once you figure it out.

Great spot to stay in Halifax

My husband and I & our adult children stayed here and loved it. The location couldn’t be better for walking everywhere, and also proximity to groceries, restaurants, coffee etc. We liked the fact that we each had a bedroom and also a separate living room to hang out & play cards when we weren’t out exploring.

Nice Place

The place itself was very clean and comfortable. Couldn’t figure out why a bedroom window was naked shut though. Also, an upgrade on sheets and towels would go a long way.

A pleasant stay

The property was very clean inside and comfortable. The location is quite good. The property was for sale so there were showings during our stay and we were advised last minute. They have a garbage management issue behind the property - there are a number of units and it was overflowing and quite unpleasant.

We were 7 friends who had a grest time in this cozy little appartment. Southside Halifax, 10-15 minute walk downtown. Close to a Sobey's, liquor store, small restaurants, quiet neighborhood. Instructions were clear, I didn't have to reach out to the owner for anything.

Unser Eindruck: das Objekt ist ein Fake. Keine Kommunikation im Vorfeld. Wir haben 2,5 Stunden nach check-in Zeit eine Antwort auf mehrfache Anrufe und Mails bezüglich den Log-in Daten bzw. Check-in erhalten. Wir mussten uns kurzfristig ein neues und deutlich teureres Objekt mieten.

Charming 4-bed apartment, fabulous location

We, a family of six, chose this charming VRBO for our son's graduation at St. Mary's, and it exceeded all expectations. Nestled on the second and top floor of a traditional, historic Halifax home, the apartment exuded warmth and charm, beautifully renovated to modern standards. Its central location allowed us to explore Halifax effortlessly; from the university to the waterfront's best restaurants, we walked everywhere with ease, even popping to the grocery store conveniently nearby. Our host's attentive check-ins ensured our stay was nothing short of perfect, enhancing our Halifax experience. Without hesitation, we HIGHLY recommend this property. Safety and heat

The property was advertised accurately, clean and location was great.Communication was odd with the manager as I asked about parking and they said they didnt know but then an automated text gave me the info i needed. We advised when we checked in that smoke detectors were sitting on a shelf and not connected. The response was not received by text and only when I sent in request again as to why I smoke detectors were disconnected did I get a response through the VRBO website. Even then nobody came to fix this and so are you concern the entire

Parking and Smoke Detectors

The unit was clean and in a great location. We did have a few issues though that I think others should know about. The listing indicated that parking was available but that it was paid parking. That was fine. We had a rental car so needed parking. When we received the check-in information it stated that there was a risk we could get blocked in the parking space and using the parking was at our own risk. We needed to know we’d be able to get out of the spot (we were there for my son’s graduation and had other time sensitive commitments). I messaged asking about other parking options and never received a response. We ended up finding street parking. Also, the parking spot isn’t reserved for the unit and wasn’t always available. We also noticed that all of the smoke detectors seemed to be removed. They responded to my message expressing concern and saying someone would come by to check. I don’t think anyone came by and I never received an update. There didn’t appear to be any working some detectors in the unit which is a real concern in an older building with multiple short term rental units.
