Iris Boutique is conveniently located in the Old Quarter. I barely noticed the sound of the bells from the nearby church. I was able to walk pretty much anywhere I wanted to go in the area, without needing a taxi. There are many shops, restaurants, and cultural events within a short walk. I was able to enjoy both the water puppet theater and the bamboo circus, both of which are within a 10 min walk of the hotel.
The room was stylish, clean, and fresh-smelling, and the staff were helpful. They can arrange travel and tour options, give recommendations for activities and food, and can arrange for your sweaty, gross clothes to be laundered. The central location meant I was able to stop back at the hotel multiple times throughout the day to cool off or change clothes. August in this humidity is no joke!
Breakfast was tasty, with your choice of eggs, pancakes, or French toast, along with a breakfast bar full of fresh fruits, yogurt, cereal, juices, teas, and coffee.
My stay in Hanoi was too short. I definitely want to go again, and I would absolutely stay at Iris Boutique again. Highly recommended!
