We love this dog friendly place. It is reasonable and perfect for any dogs specially our chocolate lab. A big problem was mosquitoes. Bring your spray safe for dogs and children.

I will be staying here again for sure! It was such a nice place and so perfect if you are wanting to take the ferry to Cape Lookout! This really is a great place to stay that is clean and has a comfortable bed with lots of extras that make it that much better!

Great little place

We like a small, convenient place to stay when we bring our boat to explore the sound and this worked perfectly for us. Easy to get to the boat launch and clean cute place to sleep.

Perfect for our trip

The location was perfect for our ferry ride to Cape Outlook. Michelle was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure that our visit was unforgettable. My 3 year old wants to know when we are going back!

What a sweet place. Quiet and dog friendly.

Every thing was so good great out of the way stressless getaway. Enjoyed the Fish Hook restaurant too. Went the shackle ford island with the wild horses. Beautiful place.

Family vacation

My husband and I loved the space. It was beautiful inside and well layed out for a small space. This property allows pets and we couldn't have been more grateful for the opportunity to bring our dogs with us. It was very affordable.

Hidden Gem!

My husband and I booked a 4th of July/Anniversary getaway at Ell's Room in Harker's Island and had a fantastic stay! Ell's Room is truly a gem. It is a cozy studio apartment in a beautiful community. The property manager Michelle is very sweet and communicative. The property is clean, comfortable, and in close proximity to dining (restaurant just up the road), the ferry to Cape Lookout, as well as many beaches and outdoor activities. We definitely plan to stay here again!

Michelle, a happy woman host greeted us and let us know information about the place we were staying and the surrounding areas. Elise the peaceful, clean extended room with warm tones and tasteful furniture was were we stayed. which Yhe simply sweet two rooms had everything you needed for your stay, a place to eat, talk, rest , cook.sleep and a bathroom. We rested, met the locals at a convenient, tasty, friendly one of a kind resteraunt. Elise, the extended back apt.was near a Dollar General for snacks and bottled water for our day trips and close to a trail to walk near the Waterfowl Museum. Michelle, our host was very personal making us feel quite at home and comfortable. The backyard had a table and chairs and a firepit, we sat at both areas but watched the full moon and took in all the many stars. I even did yoga outside prior to going to bed, but should of put more bug spray on. Thank you, I hope to visit again and walk more since we had a injued hubby and used our car more on this trip.Elise, the back apt has a great staff and was more than I expected. Great Little Place
