Fun on Harkers Island

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Harker’s Island. The cottage was lovely, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The hospitality was outstanding, and there were plenty of good restaurants near. Can’t wait to go again soon!

Very nice property with great owners! It's not right on the bay, but you can easily see it from the back porch, and there is a sitting area by the water only about 150 feet away!

This was the perfectly cozy home away from home! The home itself is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and has gorgeous views of the ocean and sunsets…and dolphins!! The owners were wonderful hosts and so attentive to us during our stay there. The location is great, easy access to the ferry to the lighthouse and the island with the wild horses. But also easy access to town and more restaurants and dinner cruises to keep you entertained. I’ll definitely be going back again.

The location was great, steps from the water. The house was very clean and the views from the house were exceptional. Our girls loved looking for seashells in the water every morning. We got to meet the owners and they were very sweet. We would definitely stay here again. Be sure the take the ferry to cape lookout and shackleford banks and the Seaside galley has wonderful food at great prices!

Beautiful inside and out

Beautiful place to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. We loved fishing, visiting the waterfowl museum, riding the ferry and seeing the wild horses. TAwesome host. Will definitely be back.

Great stay!

The property description was very accurate. The home was very comfortable and perfectly located. The owners could not have been nicer. Would highly recommend the house to anyone staying on Harkers Island.

Great lodging on Harkers Island

Our hosts were responsive and friendly. The house is beautifully appointed and access easy once we figured out the "back" door faces the street, not the water. Great seafood at both Island restaurants, and a small marina with a very helpful manager allowed us to make full use of our boat while there. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love staying in this beautiful home with stunning views of the sound!!! The home is beautifully decorated, clean and well furnished. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the ducks fly over while sipping our coffee. We came in on Thursday for the Core Sound & Waterfowl Museum festival. We had a blast!!! We met the sweetest people who grew up on Harkers Island and it was fun listening to their stories. The whole experience from Friday until Sunday was like a Hallmark movie!!!We look forward to coming back and bringing our children and grandchildren. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Beautiful experience!

This is the second time we have stayed here, and we will keep coming back! Our hosts were easy to communicate with and the house is just perfect. There is so much to see and do in the area, but it was also great every day to come back and just chill on the porch or down at the water's edge watching the sunset. And I need to mention how comfy the beds are! We will definitely try to come back again.

Second Stay Better Than The First

This was our second stay at this rental. Clean, appropriately decorated, extremely comfortable.Perfect base from which to make day trips to visit the shore at a number of different locations only accessible by ferry/boat. Also, close enough to the quaint town of Beaufort, NC where one could enjoy shopping, dining and/or just having a beer along the docks of this very nautical town.Hope to make this an annual vacation.

Fabulous Birthday Getaway

This property was the perfect base for enthusiastic shellers. Just minutes away from the ferry that takes one to Shackleford Banks and/or Cape Lookout. Beautiful sunsets on the sound and extremely relaxing!

Just Right

The property is well appointed and beautiful. Clean, comfy beds and everything we could need at home. It is a few steps to a peaceful amazing waterfront area where we were able to wade and explore an area full of life. We saw a ray, a sea cucumber, many hermit crabs and cool shells. The sky, sunsets and stars were amazing. We very much enjoyed our stay.We enjoyed bike riding, taking the ferry over to Cape Lookout Lighthouse and the Core Island Waterfowl Museum.

Beautiful

House was gorgeous and so was the view. Had a great time taking the ferry to Cape Lookout and Fort Macon Atlantic beach was only 30 minutes away. We will be back!
