The room was so beautiful and cozy. Excellent hosts! I could not recommend this place enough. It was walkable to lower town, but just know the walk back up is strenuous. We were also so close to DC and Baltimore for more adventures!

Easy walk to many shoos and restaurants as well as the Harpers Ferry National Park. It's maybe a half a mile in one direction for a shops and a quarter mile in the other direction for shops. Very convenient good host would go back again

Wonderful location and amenities!! The room and bed were super comfortable. We enjoyed using the (now gas) firepit with the cooler evenings. Parked the car and never moved it as everything is within walking distance. Bring good walking shoes for the hills and steps and hike part of the AT while here!

Comfortable and well appointed room! Easy access to town and trails (National Park, Appalachian Trail - AT visitor center is just across the street) helpful digital guidebook from hosts helped us plan a weekend with some of everything! Recommend!

Very nice room with a comfortable bed. Location was very peaceful. Check-in and communication was easy, on site parking was nice and it was close to a lot that Harper’s Ferry has to offer. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely

Exactly as described in the listing. We had a lovely stay. The room was really nice and the bed super comfy. The lack of sound proofing was as expected, but we did feel we had to be extra quiet. Just something to be aware of.

Our Appalachian Trail Adventure

Having never been to Harper’s Ferry, we research the town and read great reviews about The Guest House. We booked the Goldfinch Room for 4 nights. The room was beautiful and had all the necessities we needed for the week. Comfortable bed and chairs, huge walk in shower, and perfect location right across from the Appalachian Trail Conservancy Headquarters. We could hike the App Trail right from our room, walk downtown to shops and restaurants, it was an ideal location. We highly recommend The Guest House, we will definitely be making another trip back here. Thank you for a spectacular stay!!

Perfect fall getaway

Great spot for checking out fall leaves with an easy walk to town and some hiking trails. FYI though- ice cream joints close early when it’s not summer. Even if their websites say otherwise.

Great stay. Beautiful room and upgraded bathroom. Close to everything especially by car. Long hill to climb if you're in town and walking back to the place. Found parking by the train station.

Great anniversary getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at The Goldfinch and are looking forward to visiting again sometime! The property was clean, had off street parking, and was located close enough to Lower Harper’s Ferry that we could walk to eat, shop, and enjoy the historic area of the park. We were also able to walk to hiking trails. We were thankful for the light breakfast and water bottles left by the host. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quaint getaway.

No detail missed

We loved how clean and neat it was. So nicely and thoughtfully decorated. It was so nice to have little snacks and drinks in the fridge already and just no detail was overlooked!
