Great get away for families! Clean, pet friendly, and plenty of parking. Bonus backyard that has a fire pit and hot tub! Host was easily accessible for any questions that we had.

Wedding weekend at the McCoy house in WV

Very nice, comfortable home which 9 family used for lodging, to attend a wedding in nearby Purcelleville, VA. Had a great time!

Good location and home allowing 3 families to stay and enjoy the space. Really liked the location for trick or treating at KOA. Hot tubs a bonus and the fire pit was great for cool night's.

This property had plenty of space for our three families (5 adults, 5 children) to spread out and get re-acquainted . The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of good clean everything you need. It also was convenient to be associated with KOA and have access to their pool and other facilities. We used the hot tub (towels for hot tub too), fire pit, grill and plenty of patio furniture too. We want to say thanks to our host as well… always available and helpful!!

Great fenced in yard, for pets and gatherings. Very clean!!!! Great dead end location. Next to Harper's Ferry Battle Ground museum and backs up to KOA campground which has a great general store! Can't wait to come back!!

Loved it here. Close to everything and love having the camp ground amenities. We hope to come back! The only downfall is zero lighting in the backyard at night. Thankfully we brought our own so we were ok. Otherwise great place and wonderful backyard.

Great location, spacious house, lots of room to relax, and close to everything you want to do. My only complaint is the house smelled like cigarette smoke when we arrived. Had the windows open to help air out the space.

Stay on Harpers Ferry

Great location next to battlefield, and the layout worked well for our group of 10 friends. Not as easy to get to the Potomac bike trail as we hoped, but was doable.

A good place for a large group

The house is very large and well suited for a multi-family trip. The location is fantastic, easy access to biking, hiking, and river activities. The KOA facilities were very popular with the kids - the pool and the mini-putt course were big hits. The internet connect was a bit spotty which caused a few challenges for folks trying to work or watch streaming services. It was a fine house in a really good location.

Christmas at the McCoy house

The property is larger than the photo’s capture. making it a great place to gather. My only suggestions would be to fix the outdoor light it is very dark at night and one of us fell coming in. Luckily they fell in to the bushes no damage done. The bedrooms are quite spacious which was also a pleasant surprise.

Harpers Ferry 2022

Every year we go to Harpers Ferry this was our second time renting this house we absolutely love the layout there was plenty of room for everyone we got to eat dinner as a family , the deer in the front yard all weekend was amazing, every bed in the house was comfortable

Exceeded Expectation!

This home was absolutely perfect for our stay. Check in was a breeze with the electronic lock. After getting settled at the house and reading through the very thought out Welcome Notebook, we walked over to the immacuately kept KOA general store. Everyone there was very kind and full of information about the town of Harper's Ferry, as well as the amenities that we could use at the KOA. We all enjoyed the Putt Putt Golf and the pancake breakfast in the mornings. It is a short walk over from the property and it worked out perfectly for us in that we got our morning coffee. There's also a specialty coffee shop right next to the General Store if you'd rather have that. Back at the house, everyone had their own privacy when needed, but the large kitchen table and fenced, backyard outdoor area were perfect to bring us together. The hot tub and fire pit are very well maintained, with ample, QUALITY adirondack chairs and tables to enjoy. The grill looks great, although we didn't get the opportunity to use it. When we requested an iron (there is an ironing board on property) one was brought to us in no time. We were in the area for a short weekend to attend a wedding in Purceville, VA, but really wish we had more time to spend in and around Harper's Ferry. The town is beautiful and welcoming. (Rabbitt's Hole is a great downtown restaurant!) All in all everything was great. Only thing I could recommend is perhaps a lighter or matches for the fire pit and maybe some foil, plastic wrap, etc for the kitchen. We didn't use the kitchen too much at all, so it wasn't a problem for us, but if you were cooking, it would be a small convenience. All other toiletries, paper towels, etc were ample. The linens and beds were very "crisp" and no one complained about their mattress being uncomfortable. Love the split plan of the bathrooms!!

Great house!! Great area!!

Really nice house....cleanest vacation home we've ever rented. Great fenced-in back yard with hot tub. Comfortable and well-appointed. Perfect location to explore historic sites (Harpers Ferry, Antietam, Gettysburg). Nice towns nearby (Charles Town, Sheperdstown, Martinsburg, Harpers Ferry).

Overall Nice Place

The home is very nice with a lot of space. The host was quick to respond. As a returning guest I guess I expected a little more being that the price more than doubled since my last stay. We had a bit of trouble with the heat & hot water which the host did send maintenance quickly but I expected maybe some follow up or empathy to my issues. Couldn’t get one of the TVs to connect to internet. Other places have supplied firewood & other necessities such as plastic wrap & foil in the kitchen & laundry detergent. The listing was accurate but for the price I guess I just expected to see those little things. We did have fun & enjoyed our stay overall.
