Terrible communication, dirty house

First, let me say if you need to contact the host for any reason, it will be impossible. Even VRBO wasn’t able to get a response from them.Second, the house was gross. 2 out of 4 beds had sheets that had hair, crumbs and stains on them. The kitchen cabinets had sticky stains on them, crumbs inside the cabinets. The kitchen trash can is nasty. The microwave handle is broken, as is one leg of the living room couch, one of the beds head board was broken, the kitchen barstools are unusable, so wobbly. There were cobwebs all over. The carpet on the stairs is disgustingly dirty as are all of the walls. The pots and pans are in bad shape, nearly unusable. If the host is advertising this house as a “new build” it’s in really rough shape. The only “pro” of this house is that it’s in a quiet neighborhood.

Worst VRBO experience ever

Rented property for 6 adults. Arranged 400pm checkin, cleaning crew left at 5:30. Ill equipped for 6 guests, only 5 plates, 4 only of several pieces of silverware, only 4 dinette chairs at table for 6. The cleaners left most of the towels in the dryer which didn’t work properly. Took till 11pm to dry everything. No fish towels or dishrags, NO back up toilet tissue, only part, used rolls in restrooms. Host did send replenishment via Amazon which arrived Wednesday AM, the third of our 5 day stay. Two of our crew gave up and rented rooms at Comfort Inn. Cleaners snd/or host need to take a good walk through, update some of the thrift store furniture, give the entry foyer carpet a serious cleaning, and clean/replace stained mattress pad. Sent information to host, but have little/no response

Absolutely horrible communication, hope for no issues. They will not be resolved

Only positive about this property is the amount of space that portion was accurate in the description. Communication from the very begining and until now is absolutely pathetic. No response anytime we would ask a question. Which was about checking in early, we asked once. Then about the refrigerator not cooling enough for food to be in there and stay safe. Freezer was just fine. We asked 3 times during a stay from Tuesday to Sunday. Apparently someone came out while we were not there? Said it was cooling fine. Not buying it. We should have been notified so we can be there also. We had to keep ice in the fridge to keep the food at a safe temperature. When we cleaned out the fridge upon check out . We removed the ice very noticeable difference immediately. Prior to checking out we reached out to VRBO , the HO never responded or returned their message. Definitely not cleaned as stated, ceiling fan was caked with dust., bugs and cobb webs in garage and house, and lots of damage/cover ups for a " newly built home " . Do not expect to cook much. Very little in the kitchen. We used a few pans for cooking. They had dried on food on them and scrapped so badly. Nothing non stick would even help to make a decent meal with. I have lots of pictures, if needed !

Great getaway for family group

We enjoyed our stay at this house for three nights. The 4-bedroom house was new and clean, great for our group of one couple and three other family members. It could have accommodated up to 4 couples. The furniture and bedding were fresh and clean. The refrigerator, cooktop and microwave oven did not appear to have been cleaned since previous uses. The dishes were clean with the exception of the pots and pans, which had cooked on food that could not be removed with the paper towel and dish soap provided. Verifying that the cleaning crew has cleaned the refrigerator, microwave oven and cooktop and replacing the pot and pans would improve the overall experience for future renters. Email communication from property management at seconddoor.bookeddirectly.com was confusing up to 24 hours prior to our arrival at the house when the needed check-in information was provided.

No communication with / from host

Pros: House is well laid out with enough room for everyone, stocked, bonus den downstairs was great, convenient location in new, quiet neighborhood. Cons: I had to message the host and call VRBO to get the check in info. House was dirty when we arrived with visible dirt and hair in downstairs bed and a lot of dog hair on downstairs couch cover. Master bedroom smelled like someone had vomited recently. We attempted to reach out to the host on numerous occasions with no response. I even calked VRBO twice and they reached out to the host with NO RESPONSE. Would not recommend unless they do a deep cleaning and the host can at least respond with 24 hours.
