“A nice welcome on arrival and the room was very clean and warm. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk. A mini fridge in the room to keep water etc cool. The shower was good and also immaculate. Very quiet and a lovely place to stay ”

“A very charming and remodelled village hotel with an excellent restaurant - locals and travelers alike are welcome. Chef creates new dishes depending the daily food availability - mostly local - organic and fresh. Room was very nice, clean and had a new wonderful bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast made to order plus smaller buffet for yoghurt, juices, cereals. We would come back anytime.”

“Large parking area out the back, we missed it first round but located it easily enough - slightly slow check-in but room was gorgeous! I loved reading about the history of the hotel and local town.”

“Great size room, cot provided. We were pre-warned of Christmas parties being on over the weekend and had been put further away from an potential noise, we didn't hear a thing and weren't disturbed at all.”

“What an absolute treat The Red Lion is. I went of pervious reviews and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded my expectations, what a gem of a place. The Staff were simple amazing, David and Jasmine were fantastic and always on hand of we needed anything. The rooms are so comfortable and modern, the Breakfast was fabulous and the food in the pub was outstanding. My only problem is that I won't have the homemade biscuits that were in the room, tonight with my cuppa tea when i am at home.”

Hotel room was spacious and clean, if a little dated - as the hotel is old we did expected this. Hotel located in the centre so within walking distance of where we wanted to go. “David and Lorna were lovely. Nice warm welcome and explained what was on offer and asked if there was anything that we needed. They were off on a short family break leaving the In Laws to cover Breakfast etc. Incl checking out and settling the bill 'if this had not already been done with David or Lorna before they had left'. Slight Communication breakdown we felt but overall had a fab stay. Reccommeded by us.”
