What a great house in a fantastic location! The space was perfect for our multi-generational group. The house is beautiful, and the owners have equipped it with everything you could want. I can't wait to go back in the future!

Great time.

Great place to stay. Gated community is great when you want quite time but close enough to any type of activities and entertainment that you may want. Beds are all very comfortable and all areas are large enough for big families.

Group vacation 23

It was a fantastic stay. We enjoyed the cabin and the neighborhood. The fishing ponds were awesome, and easy to find. The views were the best.

We thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to this home on Sheep Ridge. The owners are available at all times for answers to questions and very responsive. Wonderful home with incredible views and the special bench up on the hill.

Wonderful Base Camp

This house was in the perfect location to explore so much Colorado has to offer. The town of Fairplay is wonderful with a good grocery store, restaurants, and shops. Plus so much great hiking and fly fishing nearby. Stunning natural beauty to explore everywhere you go. Having the fishing ponds at the ranch was perfect as well! The house has beautiful views of the mountains and sitting out on the decks was so relaxing. Everything was so comfortable and we felt right at home. Mark was very responsive to all of our questions. We had no issues and highly recommend this great house.

Nice log home with great views. Quiet but close enough to see many attractions.

We spent 3 days at the house this past weekend for our annual guys trip. There we're 7 of us and we felt very comfortable in the home. The views from the house are wonderful, with the sunrise being the highlight of the day. The owners were a delight to work with as well and went out if their way to take care of us. We spent most of our time taking the jeeps we rented out on trails and would highly recommend Mosquito Pass for those with any experience 4-wheeling. Climbs to over 13,000 feet with views you'll never get from a highway:). The trip in from Denver was smooth with some really fantastic scenery. Overall the experience was just what we were looking for. Thank you Mark and Nancy!! Chris

We loved this log house with all of the antiques and beautiful mountain views. Great location for trips to Breckenridge and Buena Vista. I would definitely recommend this stay.

Colorado getaway for relaxation and outdoor activities

We absolutely enjoyed all aspects of our stay at the Good Shepherd's Lodge at Sheep Ridge. Mark was super responsive to all our questions, and helpful with tips on hiking etc - a very good host. The lodge was just what we were looking for, and it was in such a good setting with wonderful views from every room. We really enjoyed the bench up on the hill behind the lodge and the expansive views from up there. Fairplay is close-by and charming, with a really good grocery store. We definitely look forward to returning.

Relaxing getaway with friends

My friends and I setup a vacation to get away for a nice weekend, relax, play games, and hang out. This place was really nice. Enough bedrooms/beds for 5 guys to have their own room. Multiple places to sit around and hang out. A nice well stocked kitchen that made cooking easy. All in all I really recommend this place if you're looking for a nice place with an amazing view to get away for a bit.

Family Vacation 2022

We had a wonderful time staying at the lodge. We were there a week and enjoyed every minute. The description of the lodge is spot-on. There was enough room for everyone to spread out and relax. The views were amazing and the weather perfect, 40's at nite and low 70's during the day. The boys had fun fishing in the three ponds on the ranch. Mark and Nancy were outstanding as hosts, Mark emailed me several times to make sure we were happy with the lodge and if we needed anything. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great view!

Beautiful house & stunning views! It took another day of adjusting to the higher altitude but so worth it!! The house was well stocked with just about anything you need, and appreciated the ready grill. I definitely found my happy place up on the bench on the hill. Thank you for sharing!

AMAZING CABIN-MUST STAY HERE

This cabin is a truly amazing gem tucked away in Colorado! Mark and Nancy are wonderful and sweet hosts who created such a lovely and cozy home to vacation at. Our family stayed here and we could not be happier with that choice! It was a fairly short drive to Breckinridge to be able to ski. And we enjoyed a day in FairPlay as well. But the highlights were honestly our moments at the cabin. We enjoyed playing indoor and outdoor games and relaxing by the fire and in the hot tub. If you are looking for an affordable and beautiful place to stay this is 100% it. We are already planning on coming back in the fall :) thanks so much Mark and Nancy!

Best Equiped Property I’ve ever Stayed

Very well equiped property, all a family needs. Great 4 master bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms. All the family loved the décor and the kids loves the games in the garage.

Perfect mountain getaway

WOW. If you are looking for a home away from home, you have found it. The pictures do not even come close to doing it justice! We came here to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday with our college age daughter and adult son and his girlfriend. A short drive to Breckenridge where they all enjoyed amazing skiing! The house was filled with EVERYTHING we needed...paper products, laundry detergent, spices, condiments and games. We have used VRBO for many years and have yet to come across a house that catered to the renter like Mark and Nancy do. Emails were answered quickly, a binder of information is left for you, and the view of the stars from the hot tub will take your breath away. Our goal is to return in the summer so we can enjoy some hiking and sunshine! Thank you for sharing your home with us and giving us a place to make some great memories!

Great place for base camp.

Visited with some friends for our yearly snowmobiling trip. House had more than enough room and was warm during the cold winter nights. FairPlay is a small town and had everything we needed.

Colorado Dreaming

Lodge was beautiful, something out of a magazine. Location was great, it was everything we needed. The house was accommodating and warming. Great place for my family and a few friends. Within a short drive of Breckinridge. We will be looking for a spring stay sometime next year.

Stunning!!!

Loved our stay here and the owner was so nice and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again. Pretty close to both Breckenridge and Buena Vista for some nice day trips.

Annual family retreat!

The house and area were outstanding. We had 13 of us and never felt crowded. There was space for everyone to relax , reconnect and enjoy the views and each other. The owners were so easy to work with. When we woke up Sat morning to a broken coffee pot , I emailed them and within an hour they bright us another pot! For a group of coffee loving people we were so appreciative!

Family vacation

Owners were excellent with immediate communication. The house is great with comfortable beds. Kitchen was very well stocked and we really enjoyed our stay there. Lots of gathering places inside and out. Enjoyed fishing at the ponds and sitting outside in the morning with a cup of coffee and beautiful views. Thanks for letting us enjoy your house for a week!

extended family house

The house is designed for several groups to inhabit at the same time - four large suites and plenty of bathrooms. Big, open kitchen. Nice little aspen grove on site and hikes along community trail and roads very handy. Perfect for multi-generational groups. Outstanding views.
