“My second stay here and it surpassed the high bar set by my previous stay. Got checked in by the manager who had just started there. I got a really nice room with a very high finish in décor which instantly put me in a relaxed mood. After finishing my admin, I went on the same 1 hour walk using the same route which takes me through the town centre. It is such a lovely town to walk around. The shower was amazing and allowed me to settle in for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was so much better...

“I was nervous, booking a room which was so inexpensive. But DELIGHTED with the hotel. Yes, there were reasons the price was low, but FOR ME, it was an *excellent* hotel. Enormous room by modern standards. All fixtures and fitting working 100%. Very friendly, helpful, professional staff. Lovely towels, bed linen. Immaculately clean, new, fresh. Delightful location. Stunning NT woodlands and "Devils Punchbowl" only 500' from the hotel. WONDERFUL play area for kids... all manner of things to...

“Very happy with our stay. The lodge was very clean and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could need. Beautifully private and quiet. Lots of wildlife around. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you to our wonderful host. ”

“Staff were very helpful & polite, talked to you as friends, was a joy to stay there”

“We love this place, we have stayed a few times. Staff are lovely and friendly. Food is plentiful and hot. The only thing that ruined it this time were some other guests who thought it was ok to make as much noise from about 12.30 to 2am shouting, slamming doors and banging about in their rooms. There was absolutely no consideration for any of the other guests. They knew in the morning it was them but not one of them apologised for their behaviour. We will stay again but will only book the...

“Very friendly welcome. A very comfortable stay. Thank you”

“A lovely gem in the country. Great for walker. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our room and it was sorted - no fuss. The food was excellent and great selection for breakfast. Well worth a visit. 👍”

“This is an old style cottage in a rural setting, which does'nt have the best access, however once there the location is surrounded by woodland and fields which are pleasant. The Lady of the house is a charming individual who was welcoming. The breakfast catered for dietary needs and was wholesome. In general a comfortable stay with no frills, but enjoyable none the less. We would use Bridge Cottage again if we visited the area.”

“Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. ”

“Beautiful country pub type hotel. Quaintand very tastefully presented. Lovely room, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. If i have any negative it is minor. The windows were not double glazed and neded a bit of paint. Otherwise excellent”

“No aircon. Very hot room. Got a fan but pretty poor for an expensive Spa resort. No late checkout for Gold member... 2 hours 20 pounds. All in all OK but a little disappointed ”
