Suite 316 se encuentra en el tercer piso del edificio sur, llamado HOKULANI. Esta unidad de 1 dormitorio / 1 baño es espaciosa a 700 pies cuadrados, además de un lanai de 145 pies cuadrados. La suite está orientada al sur y goza de vistas al océano y a la montaña. Al ser una suite de exposición al sur, nuestra terraza no está expuesta a los vientos alisios del NE comunes en Maui. We enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean and everything in working order. The unit does have directions that ask to keep the temp at 74. I usually prefer cooler sleeping weather, but with the fans provided in the unit, it was okay. The pool area is very nice, but could benefit from more chairs. It was very difficult to find a spot in the mid afternoon.

We loved our stay! The pools were super fun and the beach was amazing. The apartment came stocked with beach chairs and umbrella which were necessary at the beach. The location can't be beat! The general property could use an update, but inside the unit itself was very nice, it could use some updated outdoor furniture but that didn't stop us from using the balcony to have our morning coffee. We will be back and be bringing our kids! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

The VRBO refund policy is far too strict! 60 days prior to arrival! So much can happen between that time. There was no understanding of moving my dates or canceling. TVs were very small and difficult to operate. Furniture on lani was over crowded.

We enjoyed our stay at this one bedroom condo. The Property was clean and well appointed with what we need to enjoy our vaccination on Maui. The Property management was great to work with. This would make a nice place for anyone looking to stay on the westside of Maui. It’s on the quiet outside of the property, but Dukes and the pools are very nice to spend time at and the grounds are beautiful. Great place for couples or a family!

We loved our stay at this comfortable & clean condo in an excellent location in Maui. Far enough from the touristy area of Kaanapali beach but close to everything we needed. Walk to restaurants, grocery and other stores. Good layout with comfy bed, large bathroom, great kitchen (maybe add a Keurig, salt/pepper, sugar). Nice to “come home to” after hikes, beach walks, etc. Appreciated the snacks and coffee!

The condo has everything we needed and more for a fantastic Maui vacation. It is clean, well furnished, and very comfortable, especially the bed. We appreciated having beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and beach bag readily available for trips to the beach. You don’t have to go far for a great snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing beach, just steps away from the resort. The view from the balcony was great—mountain and ocean views. Duke’s is a good restaurant and the little shop has snacks, drinks and treats. The grocery store is in walking distance and it was nice to have a kitchen to cook in. We will definitely be back!

Overall is was a good rental. We didn’t have enough laundry pods or dishwasher pods. Also, there was no basic cleaning supplies. We tried messaging the property manager but they never responded. The resort will not help you because it is a private rental.

We found Honua Kai through several recommendations from Facebook groups. We specifically chose this unit based on all the availabilities and pricing on Vrbo. We really liked how the unit looked and the amenities that were included. Check in was easy and accurate to the directions sent to us. We just checked in with the bell desk and utilized a code to enter our unit. Unit looked clean and as pictured on listing. We did have an issue with the toilet but it was resolved by the following day when we brought it up with the property manager. Communication was fairly easy via messaging. She responded in a timely manner. We also noted that part of the screen for the lanai was broken and brought this up to the manager. Unfortunately this was not fixed during our stay. Bedroom mattress and pillows were very comfortable, however sofa mattress was not. Would recommend for any future guests to consider getting a mattress topper for added comfort. We really liked that there was a washer and dryer as it helped with laundry. We also liked how there was a cabana and umbrella for use for the beach. We left behind sand toys for future guests as we were very grateful for those who left behind these beach items. Check out process was also easy by just entering a code on the door keypad. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

This unit was clean and very cozy. We felt very much at home. We had a great time at Honua Kai and we could walk to the grocery store and ABC store. The property also has a convenient store on site as well as Dukes. Nice place

The unit itself is beautiful, spacious, and clean—it’s your typical Honua Kai unit. My husband and I love Honua Kai and have always stayed at this resort the last 10 years while in Maui. What I didn’t like about the unit and its management company is that there’s no flexibility with early check-in. We arrived at OGG early and in our car rental by 11 am. I called the management company, Epic Realty, a few days before the trip and was told that based on cleaning schedule they simply cannot accommodate early check-in. However, I also know the unit was available the day before since I almost shifted our arrival date one day earlier but with work and current home remodel, I couldn’t make it work. So the excuse of cleaning schedule when the unit was not occupied the day before, didn’t make sense. The rep I spoke to on the phone suggested I call upon arrival at OGG to see if an early check-in was possible, which I did. The rep I spoke on our arrival date (Lori, I believe, is her name) said my request could not be accommodated because of Covid. I mentioned that we are near the end of the pandemic to the point that Covid requirements have been lifted in the state of Hawaii. And then she used the “cleaning schedule” excuse, though she mentioned that in the 6 months she’s worked at Epic Realty, no early check-in requests have ever been approved. So I concluded that such a request is never accommodated and dealing with Epic Realty was in contrary to the aloha spirit. We were forced to roam the island with a young child and luggage in tow for 6 hours. And when we finally arrived at the resort for our 4 pm check-in, the resort staff said that the unit was reserved under a different name. I had to call Epic Realty again to straighten the issue. Suffice to say, it was the most difficult check-in process I’ve ever experienced. We’ve stayed at Honua Kai many times and have booked with owners directly, another property management company, and also Honua Kai directly. Flying from California, we have always taken the first flight out with an arrival at OGG by 10:30 am. In our prior dealings, our requests for early check-in have always been accommodated. The unit also does not have any beach chairs so we ended up renting the chairs from a place across the street. The unit also does not have large bowls but we improvised using the stainless steel pots. Would I rent this unit again? Probably not.

Stayed at this property and was overall very happy with the location, accommodations, and cleanliness. Perfect size for a family of 4. Enjoyed the pools, water slides, Duke’s restaurant and beach. Parking was easy and convenient. And the kitchen was a plus for the lazy mornings for an easy breakfast! Would stay here again 😊

The property was exactly as pictured. Check in process was very simple and extremely fast. Food options near the resort felt a little limited there was a cute cafe and then dukes. Both were amazing but we just had come from two other resorts that had many more amenities so we were used to that which is not the fault of the property. Our family of 4 would probably not stay at this resort again but it was lovely just not a fit for us personally. Everything was exactly as pictured and the property manager was great w communication.
