“Very disappointing. I paid £98 for a very basic twin room for 1 night. Only 1 bed was made up and room was clean but very dated, and the property and grounds have seen better days and are overall quite scruffy. “This was a great location for me to visit Galashiels. Its a lovely old manse building with nice clean big rooms and comfy beds. The owners of the guest house were on site, very friendly and welcoming. I had a sound night's sleep and woke to a lovely cooked breakfast with all the trimmings. I couldn't fault my stay. There is plenty parking but lots of free street parking nearby anyway so no issues there. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.”

“Check in was not good. I traveled from a different country and needed wifi to get a code. I had to drive 5 miles to get to a friend to call the owners. It should have been told how many flights of stairs to go with a large suitcase.”

“You get such a warm welcome from the owner, she makes you feel so at home straight away. The rooms we had were so clean and ideal for our stay. The rooms were warm and so quiet. The breakfast was so nicely cooked and tasty. This is a must stop if staying in this locality”
