End of Summer Family Getaway

The cabin was exactly what we needed for our extended family vacation. We have been visiting the Hayward area for many years and there are not many places in the area that can accommodate our large group. Everyone had their own room and bathroom and the common spaces were large enough to accommodate all 15 of us. We spent most of our time on the patio playing cards, or on the water skiing and tubing. The kids loved the beach area next to the dock. We also made good use of the kayaks and canoe. The basement game room provided great entertainment when we wanted to escape the heat, as well as the sweet movie room. We had a minor issue with the kitchen sink disposal, which was fixed promptly, and the front door latch/handle was a little sticky. Overall the place was fantastic. Definitely would recommend for families or larger groups.

Not good for elderly or handicapped

This is a lovely place. We enjoyed boating, cookouts, campfires, fishing, and all the things you would expect to do in northern Wisconsin. The problem we encountered is that the owners have given no thought to handicapped people. There are no railings on the steps outdoors, and the bathrooms are horrible for anyone with mobility problems. There is a huge tub, but all the showers are as small as possible, with no grab bars anywhere. Also, the ‘Welcome book” was hidden in one of the drawers in the dining room table.....very annoying. Also, the only TV on the main floor was broken, and no attempt was made to replace it. So if you wanted to watch TV, you had to climb a flight of stairs.

This is a very special place

We recently stayed here with our 3 adult children, their spouses and 5 grandchildren. The layout with 5 bedrooms on the main floor each with a bathroom and an enormous kids “bunk room” upstairs made this the absolute perfect place for our family vacation. This lake home is huge-from the minute you walk up to the front door you are aware of the scale with high ceilings, doors and spacious rooms. There is a sound system throughout the entire home as well as the patio and outside area. There are various thermostat zones for comfort. There is a large game room downstairs with pool, ping pong, foosball and video games. The boat house has a canoe and kayak for your use. The landscape is impeccably kept. You get the feeling that this home was very special when it was built. Also, our property management representative, Sarah, was extremely responsive and helpful. We were able to rent a pontoon and jet ski for the week and enjoyed the beautiful Chippewa Flowage-only a small part of it. The views were so beautiful from the soaring living room windows and the master bedroom windows and doors that opened to the patio. There are a few things to know as you approach your stay. Bed linens were great but you need to bring ALL your own towels. Kitchen appliances are top line, cupboards and pots and pans could use a little more care. There are tons of nice dishes. TVs didn’t work but Sarah fixed that. Over all, I would strongly recommend.

I’ll start this review out as stating the house is large and absolutely beautiful. But because of our check-in circumstances and a violent encounter with the neighbor, I would not recommend this property. We have tried to resolve our issues with the management company to no avail. You can see by the pictures below. The house was under construction when we arrived. There is a new house being built on one side as well.We were not told about the staining of this house upon our arrival and after many hours of urging them to leave, they finally did but left all of their equipment in the yard.We were a group of 12 adults on a four wheeling weekend. The parking is very tight for a situation like this.I’ll start off saying that there was one couple that pulled in the neighbors driveway by accident and apologized multiple times for this. We thought that was the rental because of all the construction equipment at the other properties in the neighborhood. The door was unlocked and it was opened and someone quickly said “hey you’re at the wrong house”. Two days later that same neighbor was still upset and vanished a gun later on Saturday evening to 12 of us. The management company had to be called as well as the authorities.A mistake was admittedly, made by pulling in that driveway and opening the unlocked door, but the individual immediately left and we had apologized. Because of restrictions on this review, I will not be able to summarize all due to character limits.

Stunning lakehouse

This property is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed having 2 docks since we had rented pontoon and fishing boat. Lake view stunning and beach was pristine perfect for grandkids to play and swim. We will definitely come here again.

Great Family Reunion property

We loved our stay here -the house was fantastic for a family reunion!! It had all the amenities you want and need -even if you get stuck inside on a rainy day. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and that was perfect. I highly recommend this property. We’ll be back!
