We were 4 couples staying for 4 nights, all frequent renters of Vrbo and similar sites.
PROS:
• House is brand new, beautiful and clean with well stocked kitchen and gorgeous open views of the mountain.
• Beds were extremely comfortable, with 3 large double vanity bathrooms and 2 (smaller) full bathrooms
• Location is in a new beautiful development, just 5 minute drive from the Jordanelle gondola.
CONS:
• Property is run by a management company. While quick to respond, they did not seem to know the layout or details of this particular house. For example, prior to our arrival:
- They could not correctly clarify how many bathrooms there were, despite multiple emails, (the listing at the time indicated both 4.5 and 5.5 bathrooms)
- The listing included a "grill" in amenities, however there was no grill. Mngmt could not find it on the listing and I had to send them a screenshot. Mngmt then said the grill is in the kitchen - there is no grill in the kitchen ("grill" has since been removed from the listing).
- The listing states "smart TVs in every bedroom" however, 2 of the 5 bedrooms do NOT have any TVs. Again, mngmt did not know this information and I needed to send them a screenshot.
• Mngmt also did not provide courteous customer service. When we arrived, the digital touchscreen that turns on the shower in the primary bathroom was completely dead. I emailed mngmt that evening and was told someone would come by to fix it. By 3:00 the next day, I returned from the mountain (wanting to use the shower) and saw no one had come. I called mngmt to ask why this was not fixed, and was told "you did not indicate a time when this needed to be fixed". When I expressed my obvious dismay to this comment, the woman on the phone was extremely rude, told me going forward all communication was to be through email and hung up on me. Never have I experienced anything like this. My past communications with management/owners have always been productive and friendly, and I have excellent reviews. Maintenance finally did come and mentioned that mngmt needs to make sure the shower digital panel is reset each time when there is a week between renters.
As a frequent renter, I certainly don't expect everything to go perfectly. What I did not appreciate was the complete runaround and ultimate rudeness from mngmt. This is truly a shame because the house itself was quite nice. Note: I did ask for compensation and was given a refund of one third of one night's stay.
