Bonito castillo.
El castillo es muy bonito, sobre todo los jardines. La localización es perfecta para mis objetivos pues está a apenas 18 kms de Aachen, pero no se encuentra en la ciudad así que para ir a Heerlen hay que tomar el automóvil. El desayuno bueno.

We really enjoyed our stay here at the castle. The amenities were wonderful, the room was very comfortable, and all the facilities at this location were wonderful. We also enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee at the basement café. We did want to mention to the maintenance crew that the armoire in our room, where the robes were stored, had a very strong smell of spray paint. We would recommend that either the room be left open to fresh air with those doors of the armoire open. Or maybe to take the whole armoire outside and let it air out.

Superbe hôtel situé dans un ancien château. La tranquillité et le confort y règnent en maîtres. La nourriture est excellente; ils m’ont même donné du pain sans gluten fait maison. Le seul hic est que les communications écrites (courriels) se font juste en néerlandais…

Everything about my stay was amazing. The suite I stayed in was filled with fantastic authentic furniture, it was pristinely clean without being sterile. There was so much character and fantasy in the property, birds singing and water birds swimming around the moat, truly refreshing. I spent quite a while in the wine caves sipping rose champagne, and enjoyed a wonderful meal at the restaurant (cheese cart!). I’ve made amazing and enduring memories and would return in a heart beat. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

Schitterende lokatie met mooie ruime en luxe kamers. Het ontbijt is voortreffelijk.Ook kun je zitten op een mooi terras aan het water om wat te eten of drinken. Prachtige plek waar ik zeker graag terugkom.

Slept beautifully in an amazing 1400’s castle with a moat. This is a boutique hotel with incredible surroundings and fabulous service. We loved Damiano, our 19 year old bar tender and Denise’s wonderful breakfast energy.

a bit difficult to find without GPS but excellent location , very quiet and beautiful surroundings . room was very spacious and clean. large bathroom . pity their beautiful breakfast is a bit too pricy (above 40 euros ) and too big for a business trip. That said great place to relax.

Romantisch kasteel aan de rand van Heerlen in een mooie omgeving. Service is uitmuntend en het personeel is erg vriendelijk en professioneel op een persoonlijke manier. Het restaurant heeft een kleine maar verfijnde kaart en staat niet voor niets in de Michelin gids genoemd. Tijdens het ontbijt heb je keuze uit diverse warme gerechten en heb je toegang tot een klein buffet. Je komt niets te kort en er wordt weinig verspild. De kamer was erg ruim en aangenaam, de enige opmerking die ik heb is dat er geen airco of ventilator is. Maar aan de andere kant is het een kasteel met hele dikke muren en zal het niet snel warm worden.

Oase van rust!
Het naastgelegen van der Valk zat vol. Dus moest helaas uitwijken. Maar dat is geen straf, want kasteel terworm is een oase. Een mooi kasteeltje midden in de natuur. Lekker ruime kamer en vooral stil! In de ochtend hoor je de vogels fluiten en kun je genieten van een prima ontbijtbuffet. Het bed is goed, met genoeg kussens, maar helaas hier zie je dat het gerund wordt door vd Valk, want het is geen 2 persoonbed, maar 2 tegen elkaar staande 1 persoons bedden. Het restaurant zelf is wat aan de prijzige kant, maar dan is het vd valk op 5 minuten kopen ideaal!

Being an old castle, the hotel is full of character and very pleasing. Car park is a couple of hundred yards away from rooms & ground is a bit uneven, you can get wet loading/unloading luggage, Rooms beautiful but as lighting is "Character-full" my wife often needed to use the torch from my car to see to the back of shelves & drawers. Lastly, a complaint my wife often has, why was there no full-length mirror in the bedroom she could use before going out in the evening?

Cette emplacement est magique. La beauté des lieux ainsi que le personnel est à mon avis exceptionnel. Ma chambre était très spacieuse et très confortable. Le restaurant wow wow. Le jaron, rerasse est a coupé le souffle. Que ce soit pour affaire ou bien une escapade romantique je recommande vivement cette hotel sans hésité.

Hot but gorgeous
No AC in the room so I opened window but took a very long time to cool off. So I did not get much sleep because I was sweating. They should at least have a fan in the room. The scenery was gorgeous and if you are looking for a quiet place to rest I highly recommend it. And the garden in the back is like something out of a movie. Very beautiful place.

een fijn hotel , goede kamers, heel rustig gelegen , een goed ontbijt . het restaurant is ook erg goed met een mooie menu kaart en goede wijn keuze. bij het hotel/kasteel is een hele mooie tuin. de omgeving is erg mooi voor wandelingen. het grote Van der Valk hotel is op loopafstand waar men gebruik kan maken van de faciliteiten zoals de gym en zwembad.
