Beautiful Lake Burton Compound - Pet Friendly

  • Cómodo y relajante casa de estilo de montaña enclavado en Hemlocks vistas tranquila cala de prístino lago Burton. Las propiedades consisten en 7 acres de bosques, campos y un arroyo y es un hermoso lugar para visitar un campamento de niños de edad.

    Características de la vivienda traje principal con sala de estar separada con Chimenea. Gran sala de estar / comedor con chimenea gigante, cocina gourmet con zona de desayuno con vistas al lago, y principales dormitorios piso cada uno tiene su propia privado malla en porches. La casa está amueblada con piezas de época y piezas Stickley finas a lo largo.

    Muelle con deslizamiento disponible es la orilla del lago y 1000 pies dentro de una zona de no-vigilia. Espectaculares vistas de las montañas son a las afueras de los alquileres cala y en barco están a sólo diez minutos de distancia. Fish justo en el muelle o pescar con mosca en el río Soque sólo 15 minutos de distancia.

    La casa combina a la perfección lo antiguo y lo nuevo. Paredes revestidas con pisos de madera de roble en todo. Lengua característica de cocina y zona de estar principal traje y pinar techos abovedados
    Baño principal ha footed bañera y ducha enorme 6'x6 'con 3 cabezas. Todos los principales baños piso han calentado pisos de baldosas.

    La cocina está totalmente amueblada incluyendo un 6/4 estufa AGA la mesa del comedor puede fácilmente asiento 8, sala de desayunos asientos de la mesa 6.

Great location and place; we will be back.

Very nice home. Access to the lake is a bit challenging for elderly guests but was doable. Really enjoyed our stay!

Love this place. Great for families to chill, ride bikes,toss football all in driveway, then head to the lake. Lots of fish to catch. Explore the area. Had difficulty finding site for house number 128 not visible at entrance. Directions there can be confusing for there are different road names, Judy Mac etc. .We had to stand at Point Drive to guide folks to driveway. Very clean & well stocked. Love the towels. Very private & quite

Cherokee Redux

Memories of N GA camp were fulfilled and passed on to the next generation. A wonderful, fun-filled two weeks at HoH!

Property was good, but the house was very musty and smelled of dog pee also had lots of spider webs inside the house. location was great, and the access to Lake Burton was great.

Historic Treasure

A lovely stay for those who value ambience and history over cookie-cutter houses. It is quirky and very charming! If those walls could talk!

Lots of memories for our family from this property. Very pleasing to us personally to see so much of the its history preserved. Kitchen and living areas are conducive to multiple guests. Great views from the porches of the lake and dock-actually caught a glimpse of a bear wandering in the woods. Host readily available and responsive.

Wonderful Home

We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday and had the most magical time. The house is very spacious with plenty of room for all 9 of us. It is within walking distance of a great restaurant with a lively bar. Kitchen is extremely well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare our holiday meal. The open green space was perfect for a family kickball game.

Thanksgiving 2022

This place was really fun! The family had a great time and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The kitchen was amazing and has anything you would ever need for a fancy high end meal prep. The host Jim was super nice and fast to respond to any questions we had. We will be back for sure.

Fantastic Lake Burton House

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this lakehouse! The house has plenty of space inside and out and is quite comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The house has some fantastic photos and memorabilia from when Camp Cherokee was on the premises. I’d recommend this house to a friend.

Best Weather Ever

We have stayed here in the past and again enjoyed our stay. Mr. Bell is always attentive to any needs and it is hard to go wrong with this large rustic place. We spent most of our time on Lake Burton. It is so nice to have such a quiet place for the kids to swim. We will definitely be back! This is the first year it didn’t rain the entire week which was so nice.

A Dream Come True

This was our third visit to this amazing property! The house and surrounding forested acreage are beautiful. Whether you are looking for a peaceful retreat or the perfect spot for great fun on the lake, this is your place! The house with its intriguing history is so unique and filled with gorgeous furniture! Everything you need for a special vacation is provided: linens, kitchen utensils, and more! Family get together

We had a great time together! There were four kids ages 2-6 and there were lots of games, toys for them. Plenty of space for the ten of us to spread out. Screened in porches to enjoy the outdoors while it rained. We enjoyed the meadow playing kickball and baseball and enjoyed exploring the area. Would love to go back!

Amazing property

When our original cabin was canceled at the last minute due to water issues, we found Jim's cabin. I have to admit sometimes plan B turns out to be much better than our first choice. Everyone loved it! Thanks for the great memories.

The only thing that I would change would be to put some new TVs in the house that work. And the internet is sub-par. Otherwise, the charm was very well enjoyed. It felt like staying at a friend's house for the weekend. I would not hesitate to stay at this place again.

An HoH summer redux.

A perfect long weekend in dear HoH. We have many fond memories of this place from its Camp Cherokee for Boys days. The revised HoH was fully equiped with a full kitchen, laundry facilities and many comfortable bedrooms. Three floors made sleeping arrangements very convenient. Beautiful Lake Burton and a private dock were steps away. Swimming and boat rental ( at a nearby marina) were easy and a treat. The owner was always available via phone or text for any questions. HoH would be a perfect mountain/ lake retreat for anyone but especially those with summer memories of the Camp. We hope to return next summer with our Grandchildren to share the wonderful memories. Thank you

The best rental on Lake Burton!

We have been staying on Lake Burton for 20 years. A couple of years ago, we discovered this magnificent property. We’ve stayed at several different rentals, but this one tops them all. The house itself is uniquely beautiful in the style of a great lodge. The furnishings are gorgeous, and all appliances are the top of the line. The kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy, and the primary bathroom even has a claw-foot soaking tub! The surrounding property consists of an amazing forest of trees and various flora with several hiking trails. It is very private . The boat house easily accommodated our sport boat and two jet skis. We really enjoyed swimming off the dock. The owner is one of the nicest people and eager to see that his guests have a great time! We now measure time by counting the days until our next visit! Don’t miss out on this gem!

Great stay!

Jim is very good at communication, and the house was well stocked. We had such an enjoyable week. The no-wake zone area on the lake is great for paddle boarding or canoeing! Morning coffee on the screened porch was one of our favorite things.

A Wonderful Week on Lake Burton!

We had such a great time at this unique property! The house, the surrounding woods, the lakefront… even more than we had hoped for. The amazing house was very clean and comfortable, the chef’s kitchen well equipped with top-of-the-line products. The dock and boathouse were perfect for our boat and jet skis, and we enjoyed swimming from the dock. A great place, too, for our dogs who also enjoyed swimming and exploring the many beautiful trails. A very interesting, historical property! Can’t wait to return!

Lake Burton

Jim was a great host and handled everything we needed. The property was an amazing historical boys camp started in the 20’s and the old buildings are still around. The main house has lots of character and history. Our teenagers stayed in the second building and had their own space. The lake was great and we had a blast.

Peace, Lake & Nature

LOVED this place! The house is very homey and well kept, stocked with everyday needs, clean and super comfy. Everyone enjoyed discovering the history and nature around the house and the property. There’s a restaurant in walking distance if you want to take a stroll for some good food or a drink or both! The area of the lake was perfect for the kids to canoe and kayak on and feel safe and the boat house/dock provided the perfect spot for having a day at the lake. The owner was quick to respond and we 100% recommend this place to all who want to experience a beautiful piece of Lake Burton!!

Beautiful location and home. Very cozy.

Lake Burton is a beautiful location. Close enough to Helen and other small towns to visit. We had a great peaceful holiday week. The host was very accommodating and communicative. We’d return gladly to experience it during the summer.
