Had I read what I’m writing about this property, I would not have rented this property.
It is a quaint home in a great location, however it is terribly outdated and not well maintained.
The upstairs bathroom shower is in poor condition. The water spout practically comes off the wall, the tub flooring has 2 strips of Velcro on it, for what I don’t know. They issue only 1 towel per person for the stay. Fine, if they were in good condition it wouldn’t be an issue. One shower towel even had a whole in it.
The kitchen was also lacking, dish soap is provided but no scrub. How is anyone supposed to clean dishes used? The pans have all been scraped through the Teflon which makes you wonder what you’re even cooking on. I resorted to buying paper plates and utensils to prep what little breakfast items I needed to eat off of. Never made a meal with the items provided other than the toaster. Kitchen towels and mits were old and grimy.
The bedrooms were ok, but the mattresses were subpar. In a previous review I read that the mattress in one room was bad, I had hopes that since October it would have been resolved, it wasn’t.
The patio furniture was unusable. All broken, held up with chains, dilapidated and just terrible conditions.
This property permitted pets and we brought ours. I just didn’t understand why there was a used dog bed lying around in the living room. Anyone who brings their pet will bring bedding for it. Furniture was overall outdated, used and faded. The whole property just gives off a lack of cleanliness all around.
This could be a great little gem in the mountains, with lots of love and care.
