Our stay at the cabin had mixed reviews. The place is as pictured and we knew it was not the most updated place. We were ok with that. The kitchen is well stocked and the hot tub and views were great. The host was also great with communication and allowed us to check in a few hours early. There are several things, however, that need some attention. There was a broken chair in the living room, which I informed the host of on day one. The beds are just ok as far as comfort. The place was clean on a surface level but needed a deeper level clean and the bedding has seen better days. There were several stains and it needs to be refreshed/replaced. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but do not feel like it was worth the holiday rate that we paid.

Cabin was clean. It is somewhat dated in overall appearance.The hot tub was great though the cabin could uses some beach towels for exiting the tub. We viewed 4 places and eliminated 2 trhat were less expensive but had no fireplace which was an important amenity for us. The third was similar to our selection but had little mountain view.We were very disappointed that we could not start either fireplace. Even after contacting the owner and following all instructions we could nor use the fireplaces. Our ability to convene around the fireplace was lost. The owner has a maintenance man who might have fixed the fireplaces if directed.Instead the owner offered us a 50. rebate which seemed rather small for what we payed but until mow we have received no rebate from the owner.All in all, a rather poor and disappointing way to conduct business.

Our family and I had an excellent time enjoying a Labor Day weekend family reunion. The only thing that threw us for a loop as far as the location was the road accessing the property. It narrowed down to almost a one lane road which made it precarious to oncoming traffic. I do think this needs to be mentioned in the listing.The house itself was great and fit our needs perfectly. I’m sure the fall and winter view off the back porch would be very nice! We always enjoy being back in the mountains that still feel like home.

Great house & great host!

This house was perfect for our four generation gathering: ages 88 to 9 months. My dad enjoyed the stair free main level, the family members with kids were downstairs with bunk beds. The house was especially well equipped for children with a high chair, and gates at top and bottom of the stairs. Small appliances, plenty of dishes, cleaning supplies and more were thoughtfully available. The hot tub was welcome after a long day of kid wrangling. The host was extremely good at communication. We hope to come back soon.

Everything you need!

This house was perfect for eight adults and two kids - gorgeous views from the large, screened back porch and the sliding glass doors. Literally stocked with a complete kitchen, including crock pot, griddle, two coffee pots and all manner of pots and pans. Easy access to town and Black Rock and hiking.

Excellent Location

We had a great time. We were 6 people and with 5 bedrooms, we had plenty of room to spread out. The views were great and the elevation was high enough to catch some great morning and evening cool temperatures. We would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing Mountain Vacation

We were over the moon with this mountain house. The views from the porch was wonderful with amazing sunrise views to drink morning coffee. Closely located to stores, downtown Clayton restaurants, and tones of hiking. The house was even better than expected, tons of space, and super cozy beds. Tucked away and quiet while still being so close to the town. Our dogs really enjoyed the trip as well and the fenced yard was a bonus. Hot tub was great after long days of hiking with our dogs. The hosts were responsive and made checking in and out a breeze. Highly recommend and if you have a large family group it would be perfect; we plan to bring the whole family next trip.

Awesome

Very spacious. The guest & I weren’t on top of each other. I suggest they take better pictures tho the house looks way better in person. It’s kind of hard to find when dark so I suggest arriving in the daytime. Besides that, I love the house & would definitely book again.

Wonderful Christmas 2023

We brought our children and their families to Georgia for a family Christmas. The cabin is beautiful and spacious with plenty of room for a big family! We loved the cabin and the area and were sad to leave! Thank you for sharing your lovely home and giving us such special memories!

Early family Christmas

There were 12 people in our group - 6 adults and 6 children. The house worked great for our large group. The children really enjoyed the hot tub. Beautiful view from the porch. Overall a great location for our family.

Adventure

Worked perfectly for a location that was convenient to adventure - hiking to please all levels, lots of beautiful scenery including water and water falls, and access to white water rafting! Cabin was perfect for a large group of friends. Two different decks with great mountain views - esp from the hot tub. The fire pit was also greatly enjoyed.
