My sister and I stayed here for the weekend to go hike garden of the gods. It’s a 2 minute drive from the cabin. The cabin was easy to locate, private, but also not far from Harrisburg which offered grocery store and restaurants. The hot tub was nice and we thought it was awesome you offered firewood for the pit! The check in process wasn’t hard, but I prefer being able to sign electronic docs and enter my code and read the rules. Going to the store was a little over whelming and busy. I would definitely stay here again!

It was a cute quiet spacious house. The hot tub jets didn’t work very well and the outside table and porch was dirty. But over all it was a nice getaway. Very easy to find. The house was clean and very spacious

My boyfriend and I stayed at Pine Ridge for a weekend in May. Everything about our stay was delightful. The hot tub was amazing and relaxing. The only issues we had were the TV and the lack of foil and containers to put left over food in. The TV just wouldn't connect to the internet.

We enjoyed staying at Pine Ridge! It was clean and well stocked. Close to the Shawnee National Forest trails. Enjoyed the hot tub on a rainy day and after a hike. Most importantly when we had a vehicle emergency the owner was helpful.

The cabin was beautiful inside and out! Very spacious and well kept! Extra blankets and pillows galore. All the kitchen necessities that one would need. My family and I came for the weekend. Unfortunate circumstances happened when we were 25 mins away and we had to return home. That was 4 1/2 hrs away! The owners were more than awesome about the whole thing! We ended up returning the next day. Upon arrival the owners left us a condolences card for my family and I!! I know that doesn’t count for much for most, but it meant everything for us!!! So very thoughtful and sweet!! They also offered other very sweet accommodations!!! Thank you for a beautiful reminder that there are great people in this world! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you again!!! Your cabin and mostly the owners are so very special!

Great, spacious cabin complete with full kitchen (not a lot of restaurants in the area) and hit tub. Close to the Garden of the Gods and several of our other favorite hikes. We love coming down in the winter, hiking nearly empty trails and unwinding in the hot tub. Highly recommend!

The property was very nice and clean everything you need was provided just bring food and relax . We hunted in the day and came back fixed lunch and watched T V was nice and warm even with it 12 outside in morning . Great place to come relax and just get away .we will be back again.

We loved the property. Well appointed and so comfortable. Shallow steps, 2, easily managed. The two fubaths were a bonus. Quiet and shielded from the road. The hot tub was heaven. Hot

Overall my wife and I had a great stay. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the outpost where you check in at wasn’t under the timber ridge name. The name of the outpost was under Garden of the Gods Outpost which is named clear at the bottom of the email. Also the sign to the cabin could have been bigger as we drove past it twice. We would definitely stay again and recommend it

Great base for exploring the Shawnee Forest! Bummer Garden of the Gods was not available, however we figured out how to get in and see via other trails. Great experience and amenities!

The property is nice. They provide everything you need. The fire pit is lousy - to me, a ring of metal plopped on a sloped, gravel driveway is not a fire pit. The beds are nice but the bedding is pathetic.

This is a great place to rest between hikes in Southern Illinois. It was very clean and we had everything we needed to cook all our own meals. The kids loved getting ice cream at the Outpost!

I would definately stay there again. Honestly, I didnt want to leave. After hiking the trails in the Garden of the Gods the hot tub was a welcome site. Home sweet home.

Ive been down to Shawnee a few times for the New Year but this was our first stay (but hopefully not the last) at this great cabin. It was a great location - minutes from Garden of the Gods and close to our other favorite hikes in the Bell Springs area. The cabin itself was clean, with a nice kitchen, 2 nice bathrooms (with plenty of hot water) and bedrooms and fun stuff for the kiddos (my daughter loved the air hockey table). The hot tub was a real treat after a day of hiking in the cold. Andrew was great to work with for booking and day of check-in communications. Highly recommend.

House was very clean. The people who work at the outpost where you check in were all very kind. Property is in a great location in respect to garden of the gods and multiple other trails. However, it is located on a busier road. We had an issue where the batteries in the cabin door lockbox died and no one answered the phone when we called. But we drove up to the outpost and they gave us batteries. Listed in the amenities in body soap, but there was none. My boyfriend had to use the dish soap. Lol. There are definitely some maintenance issues that could use some addressing. For example, half of the jets in the hot tub don’t work. The faceplate on the drawer in the bottom of the oven falls off when you open the oven door. And the sink in the kitchen is slow to drain. All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The place was very spacious and clean overall, except we found black mold on the floors in both showers. Overall, though, it was a great place for a family or friends vacation, and we'd recommend it. Thanks!
