“Clean and private cabin within earshot of waterfall and a million coqui frogs. Friendly and helpful staff provided all we needed for a relaxing stay. The only negative we experienced was the poor WiFi, which we needed for trip planning and checkout.”

“Had a great visit. Everyone is particularly helpful. Met with Mr. Arnott and he was very accommodating and friendly. The staff are really good if you need any extra soap or supplies. It used to be a hostel but has now turned into a hotel and it’s very amenable to all of the local events and facilities.”

“September 2025: Overall great experience! We were greeted and left alone for the duration of our stay. Waterfall was shy at first (hurricane impact) however roared so beautifully the remaining of our stay. Beaitiful kept the property is. Kids would have loved a tour of the property to be able to feel more comfortable walking around, but was able to go talk to the goats at the gate. “Great place to stay if exploring the Volcano area and Hilo! You park just off the road, but it’s a very quite community and you still feel secluded!”

“Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up.”
