“What a gem of a place! Beautiful original pub building. Bedroom was spacious and clean. We had a room with a double and a single bed. The double was a bit too hard for us, but the room has everything you need, so can't complain. Breakfast was really impressive and everything was cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We feel like we've found a gem and will definitely use again when we've got a gig in Manchester.”

“This place is fine, but not great. Whilst it has lots of character, the weak and unpredictable shower was a definite detractor for me, and the bed was oddly short so me feet were off the end. Rooms were well appointed, but a few dubious carpet stains made sure you knew they'd been occupied before.”

“Really big, lovely clean rooms. Fantastic value for money and breakfast was superb. We stayed for a concert at Co op Live which was a 15 minute taxi ride away. Highly recommend and would definitely stop again.”

The owner and staff outdid themselves with welcoming us later in the evening and making sure to seat us in the quite lovely dining room for a hot meal before retiring to our spacious guest room upstairs. The room was today and had lots of thoughtful amenities: tea, coffee, a variety of snacks, lots of toiletries. Breakfast was very good and served with warmth and hospitality. Definitely a wonderful place to stay. ”
