Very spacious nice home but some things were a bit annoying compared to previous rentals. Shower head in downstairs bathroom was broken and only produced small steam of water. Back patio door from kitchen has broken gone handle on outside entry and was very hard to open. Patio was limited with lounge furniture. Lastly, owner stated there would be a beach chair per bedroom, upon arrival there were three chairs with one of them being broken. Beach amenities were sparse compared with all of our other rentals throughout the years. I would recommend a golf cart rental because the walk to the beach is a bit of a hike carrying beach gear if you want to get away from the VERY crowded Manatee public beach.

Rough shape

Location was great, but the property itself is in rough shape. Doors not closing, alarms going off, washing machine and dryer failing, dishwasher broke (and not even attached to counter and falling out), drains clogged in all showers, lights broke, ceiling fans rusted and broke, and more. For this price, I expect a little more TLC and routine maintenance (which would catch 90% of these concerns and had them fixed).

Family trip

This house was a nice fit for our family 6 adults & 4 small children. The bedrooms were comfortable & 3 1/2 baths were great. The kitchen was good size & easy for meals. It was short walk to the beach which was very important to us! The pool is a good size & was used daily. The pool has a nice waterfall feature that we liked & it makes a nice relaxing sound.Overall we had a wonderful time & this home is a good place for a family to have fun. Things I would change. There was only 1 old lounge chair & a few metal chairs by the pool & no furniture on 3 balconies. I called many times concerning this. No lounge chairs were brought, hard metal chairs with no cushions & rocker like chairs were brought.We would have liked 3-4 long lounge chairs. The landscaping needs trimmed & cleaned up. New shower head in downstairs master. Back door needs replaced. This is a beautiful property that we enjoyed. It just needs a little upkeep.

Great Place with Room for Improvement

The house is great with nice sleeping rooms and large living room plus kitchen. The pool is great as well. Only the chairs on the large kitchen table could require a repair or replacement.

Fantastic House with Perfect Pool

This house was perfect for our family for Spring Break....a few minutes and you are on Holmes Beach!!! The house was very large and impressive. With 5 bedrooms, everyone had their place and space (5 adults and 5 children). The beautifully landscaped pool was the hit by everyone. Pool is actually much larger than provided pictures. The water temperature was like bath water....perfect. House is positioned for noon to afternoon sun, but provides some shady areas, too. Everyday we got to walk to enjoy beach...ice cream, beach volleyball, sunsets. This house has Location, Location, Location!!! Also we had great communication with our host company....readily available. We will definitely return for this property!!! Lana W.

Great location and spacious house

We loved the island, the location and the house was as pictured. Communication with the property manager was easy and quick to respond. However, the indoor and outdoor furniture was very well worn and often uncomfortable. The kitchen chairs were sunken and difficult for our elderly parents to get in and out of to eat at the dinning table. The outdoor loungers were ripped and sunken so we were sitting on the cross bars. We did communicate that to the owner and sent pictures but they didn't do anything to solve it. Also be prepared that the house comes with no bells and whistles. There are no pool accessories, we had to buy some noodles for the kids. There are no beach chairs. There are no games. The description says there are stairs to the games room but there is no games room. The kitchen was lovely, but there was always something missing. A blender with no lid, a grill with no cord. A coffee pot with no carafe. The 2 balconies came with no furniture so we were unable to enjoy them. So although the house was fine for anyone looking for a spacious place in a good neighborhood and the experience with Vrbo was great, we found we were usually uncomfortable or looking for the right supplies.

Great family getaway.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we were looking for a rental option on very short notice. After booking this property, they were able to accommodate us with a same day check in which was a life saver for our family. The home is a few blocks from the beach and walking distance to the grocery store which was great! AMI made communication easy with the text option and were always very helpful and responsive. We would stay here again.

Perfect vacation home

Absolutely perfect for our family. It was a plus to have a wagon to take chairs and toys to the beach. The pool area was wonderful and the layout of the house was great. So glad we could walk to our favorite beach.

Hidden Oasis!

This was the perfect getaway. So close to the beach yet can quickly walk back to get the grandsons in the private pool! We had a great time and will definitely be back! Any issues were quickly resolved, due to a storm that took out a lot of the areas internet’s. But, management was quick to get it fixed. Gorgeous home and we enjoyed the entire patio and pool area daily & nightly! 😊

Great Location

This is a large house with plenty of rooms. It has a lot of steps so not good for someone who has difficulty navigating. It was not as well equipped as other rentals. We had to buy extra towels, washcloths, kitchen towels and sponges. They did have beach towels. No ping pong table like in the pictures. Pool area is gorgeous! Walking distance to Publix, Catholic Church and public beach. Nice quiet street! Busy street to cross to get to the beach. I will definitely rent again.

Villa Portofino

The house was dirty. I’ve been vacationing for years with my family and this was the worst in cleanliness. Smelled like cigarettes, walls dirty, pillow case had lipstick on it, floor had hair ties, shower has hair in it, toilet had hair in it, all the pool items and beach items were thrown in the two rooms off the pool section, pool fountain not on but did get someone out to turn on. It’s a nice home , layout good, with so much potential ! A good paint job, housekeeping and decor upgrade is needed. On another hand, the golf cart rental company was very convenient , dropped off and picked up for us! Location is great and pool size decent. Rooms of great size ! Just needs cleaned up a bit.

Anna Maria Vacations not the best

The house was nice, but just problems with the owner and/or booking agent. This house was listed through a broker and I will never use them again. I'm not sure if it was more the owner or the booking agent I had problems with. I asked 2 months ahead of time to have the pool heated and the pool was not heated upon arrival. I contacted them and they said they'd get a pool technician out to get the pool heated and it was a little warmer the next day, but then got cold again the entire week we were there so they obviously never turned the heater on (the warmth from the sun that one day). I contacted them several times over the week to ask how to operate the soaking tub jets and the underwater light on the pool and never got any responses back. I asked for either early check-in or late check-out and was told the owner said it's not possible because that is when maintenance is performed on issues with the house, even though the house wasn't rented for 2 weeks before, nor the week after our rental week. Don't stay here!!!!!!
