Perfect family vacation

Overall we had a great experience staying at the Pink Flamingo. This was our first visit at this rental, but we know the area very well. We were originally scheduled to come down in June, but rescheduled for August hoping things would be a little better. We stayed with our parents and 6-yo son, with plenty of space. The biggest draw is the location; a short walk (not blocks) away from the public access to the beach. This area of the beach was not as crowded as the public beach areas, and we were able to space ourselves well from others. The positives: very clean, well stocked kitchen (plenty of kitchen utensils, crockpot, blender, dinnerware, wine opener, etc), most beach accessories that you would need (chairs, towels, noodles, outdoor shower, and spray hose at the front door), efficient WiFi, and close to the grocery store for the extra things you may need. The community is quite, and the pool was close and well kept. The property itself was well maintained. The owners were very responsive and helpful with our questions before our stay. We had a minor issue with the air conditioning the last day, and it was addressed by the owners and property management within 15 minutes. A few items that would have been nice to have: beach cart (we brought our own, but wouldn’t usually drive down to have it with us), a few more cooking staples (cooking oil, coffee filters, foil, extra trash bags, salt/pepper), and storage containers for leftovers. We wondered if some of these extras weren’t kept due to Covid though. We cooked more than we normally would have as we didn’t want to eat out this time. We were okay with the bed; it was very soft, but not as supportive as what we would prefer. Loved having the washer/dryer in the unit; that was helpful with the wet swimsuits and towels; there’s also a drying rack if clothes are just damp. Overall we would consider staying here again, and appreciate the communication and flexibility of the owners.

Very nice!!

I loved that I could walk across the street and right onto the unpopulated beach, however that is only because there is an open lot right now. If a house is built there it will be a bit more of a walk unless you get permission to go through a personal property. We were 3 adults and unfortunately only 2 good beach chairs, so if you have more traveling you may need to rent chairs and umbrellas. Location nice and quiet. TV's were good in every room, nice big shower with good water pressure, so the house was perfect for us!

Doesn’t Get Better Than This

The first time we came to the island was about 10 years and we stay in the village. We loved the location and being able to be right across the road from the beach was even better, especially with kids. This year was just as awesome! We loved every minute and everything about our stay! Again...it doesn’t get any better than this!

Loved our stay except for the beds

The condo exceeded our expectations. It was furnished in a wonderful turn key manner and had everything we wanted and more. Had I know, beach towels, beach umbrellas and chairs were provided I could have save some room in the car. I especially enjoyed all the books. Even read three while there. We will probably book this again. The only negative thing was the beds. They were much too soft for us. Believe they were tempur pedic and hard to get out of.

A little piece of paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the property. We all made use of the crow's nest to read and chat with eachother. The location was perfect. It couldn't have been easier to get to the beach. The house was well appointed and even more spacious than we had anticipated. We hope to return again.

This property was immaculate and just wonderful! We had everything we needed, was private and a great location. Weather could have been better but totally enjoyed walking on the beautiful beach just steps away. Had some issues w/the code given for entry but was resolved pretty quickly. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful stay!

We loved staying and Sue and Jim's property. They were incredibly responsive and provided lots of helpful recommendations for dining, etc. The beach is just steps away and the pool was a wonderful place to relax. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again.

Anna Maria Island gem

We had a great experience at the “Pink Flamingo” - just a few steps from the beach, grocery and drugstore. Loved the layout, plush towels, beach chairs and floats. One thing I would add is a broom- a lot of sand finds its way in.

Perfection

Four of us (2 couples) rented this property for 4 nights. It was super clean and very well appointed with everything you could need - books, games, pool toys... the kitchen was stocked with all the appliances, dishes and utensils you could need for a small or larger group. The decor was charming Floridian cottage style and wonderfully decorated. We enjoyed a lot of time chatting in the sunny front room. No need for a car because restaurants, the beach and grocery shopping were well within walking distance. For slightly longer destinations we caught a free trolley shuttle just two blocks from the home. The neighborhood was pleasantly quiet. Jim and Susan, the owners, responded promptly to any questions we had and they made us feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely coming back to this locale. Thank you to these owners and to those who help manage the property.

Private, conveniently located and very clean. Loved every minute.

Such a surprise when you walk through the door! Far more spacious than you could imagine. Beautifully appointed, immaculately clean, fabulous private patio and pool, one minute walk across the street to the beautiful beach. Owners are readily available and respond promptly to answer your questions. So quiet yet remarkably near 2 drug stores, grocery store, ice cream shops, Dunkies, restaurants and more. Loved the free trolley ride up and down the island for more restaurants, shopping and beaching. Lovely sunsets on the beach.

Great Place

Perfect location, very clean and everything needed was at our fingertips!

This was our first family vacation with our 2 boys (ages 5 and 3) and this was the perfect location! The house was clean and had all amenities needed! Each day consisted of walking 200 steps to the beach or 30 steps to reach the private pool! The free trolley service was wonderful to check out the local ice cream shops, donut shops, restaurants and more! We will definitely be back next Summer!!

Relax at the Pink Flamingo!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pink Flamingo! It was perfect for our family of four (including two teenagers), and the location was very convenient to both the beach and the nearby grocery store, ice cream shop (a nightly stop!), restaurants, and souvenir shops. When not at the beach, we found everything in the condo to be very comfortable for relaxing, including a rocking chair, comfy wicker furniture, and a pull-out couch that worked fine for one of our teens. We cooked in the kitchen often, and used the grill on the patio, which was nice when we wanted to stay in. Inside, there are tons of books to choose from if you'd like to find a beach or poolside read. The pool looked nice, however we didn't use it since there always seemed to be other families there (it was a busy time over the Fourth of July weekend), which was fine because we prefer the beach anyway. We also enjoyed sitting up top on the widow's walk to get a bird's eye view of the area. The only thing I would suggest is including is a beach wagon for taking chairs/umbrellas/gear to the beach (there is a storage area off the patio where those can be found)--we have older kids who could help carry things, but it would make it easier, especially for families with younger children. Overall, it was a relaxing time and everything was great!

Home sweet home

Across Gulf boulevard and 2 houses up to the beach. Parking right in front of your door and shaded by Palm trees. Pool looked lovely. We always were at the beach and did not use pool. Kitchen well stocked. Grilled out a lot. Washer and dryer handy. Lots of books to read if you forgot yours. Beach chairs. Umbrella broken. We rented beach wagon and sun shade. We brought soft cooler from home. Beach towels provided. Clean. Hair dryers and night lights provided. Some laundry and dishwasher pods provided. We brought more from home plus garbage bags, foil and ziplock. Widows walk lovely at night. Anna Maria has become quite busy .

Convenient and comfortable!

Our stay at this property was one of the most relaxing vacations we've had in quite some time. It was located centrally on the island, and easy to walk to many restaurants/shops as well as right down the street from the free trolley which we took all over the island each afternoon. The beach is a stone's throw away, making it convenient to watch evening sunsets. Everything was at the condo that we needed to make it comfortable for my family(including 22 month old). Also, the pool was so private and steps away from the back porch. We loved everything about this rental, and would love to visit again next year!

Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was the perfect place for us! Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, really only 200 steps to the (uncrowded) beach, gorgeous landscaping, totally quiet, wonderful pool only a few steps from the patio, lots of windows, A/C worked well, and 3 sliding glass doors out to the patio - one in each room. Very cool widows walk lookout. Everything was included - pool toys, plenty of dishes, extra bedding, lots of books, TV with DVD player. Great location close to businesses but you would never know it from inside. We would definitely rent this again!

Great cottage on a great island

Beautiful cottage across from the beach. Great location for everything you need while visiting. Only steps to the free island trolley which makes it so easy to get around. Easy walk to at least a dozen restaurants. Furnished beautifully and everything you need to enjoy your visit is there.

Great place for a getaway

Owners were a delight to deal with. Condo, including location, was wonderful. Close to everything and yet quiet. Beachy decor without kitsch; very comfortable furniture. So many books, so little time! Enjoyed the TVs in both bedrooms as well as family room. Bathrooms were clean and updated. Pool area and widow's watch added to our enjoyment. Kitchen was nicely stocked with any cooking implement you could want. Even had the nice touch of night lights for us. Not a single thing I can think of to suggest to the owners to add to our experience. Walgreens right behind the complex, trolley stop in front of Walgreens, and Publix one block away. Neighbors around us yet never heard a sound. Choice of restaurants within a mile. Pretty much a perfect week! ?
