10 minutos a pie en Holt - una casa encantadora con estacionamiento y jardín privado con césped

Railway Cottage es una casa de campo victoriana bellamente restaurada, a solo diez minutos a pie del bullicioso centro de Holt en una dirección y a quince minutos a pie de la estación Poppy Line en la otra.

Conservando bolsas de carácter con la pintura de Farrow y Ball, pisos de madera a rayas, sofás acolchados y camas grandes y cómodas, Railway Cottage es la base ideal para unas vacaciones familiares explorando la costa del norte de Norfolk.

La propiedad tiene capacidad para un total de ocho, con seis en la casa principal (dos dobles y una habitación doble) y dos más en la 'Plataforma 2': ¡el anexo al otro lado del patio en la parte trasera de la casa y en realidad una casa de lavado convertida!

El jardín se encuentra en la parte principal, más allá del anexo, y tiene un ambiente encantador, aislado y `` secreto '' (¡o eso me han dicho varios niños!). Hay varios lugares para sentarse y disfrutar del jardín: tomar un café por la mañana en la terraza detrás del anexo, encender una barbacoa en el patio entre la cocina y el anexo, o descansar en las tumbonas en el césped. Tumbonas, petanca y columpios, todos alojados en el cobertizo.

Las comidas familiares se pueden disfrutar alrededor de la mesa grande en la cocina o afuera en el patio. Las noches más frías y las noches de invierno se pueden pasar acurrucadas junto al fuego con juegos de mesa o televisión en la sala de estar.

The cottage was very clean and well equipped.The garden and provision of a working barbecue was disappointing. The garden seemingly had not been touched this year and was therefore not useable and the barbecue v small and buried in the back of the overgrown garden. The pots in the courtyard were dead and full of box hedge caterpillars.Would also have liked more than one front door key as key box was difficult to open - perhaps not helped by the overgrown hedge!

Family holiday

We enjoyed our stay in this well equipped property. It was comfortable and spacious with a nice garden and pleasant outdoor seating to enoy a BBQ although the weather did not permit that to happen. We would happily stay there again.

Big enough for the whole family!

We had a wonderful time at Jon's cottage in Holt. The property was close enough to walk to town but not in the hustle and bustle and as such was quiet and relaxing. The open plan kitchen/diner/lounge was perfect to host our whole family. My 5-year-old niece enjoyed ALL of the toys available, and the secret garden was quite the hit! Thank you Jon!

Lovely cosy property, dressed for Christmas

This is a super property, very cosy and warm, with Aga, log burner and an open fire. The annex being great option for our daughter to have her own space with sofa and TV. The beds were really comfortable and the cottage very well equipped. Just a short walk into Holt with plenty of restaurants and shops mean everything you need is just on the doorstep. A lovely touch were the tasteful Christmas decorations and the bottle of fizz to welcome us. Jon had set the heating so it was nice and warm for our arrival. I would definitely recommend this wonderful cottage and just wished we could have stayed longer!

Lovely house

Railway Cottage is a lovely house. It's well equipped, beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished and wonderfully warm! The house is also in a perfect location, just ten minutes walk from the centre of Holt and with easy access to the coast. Highly recommended!

Railway Cottage was wonderful

We had an amazing time very homely especially with the aga always lovely and warm … the annexe was such a handy place for our friends to stay in with their dog they absolutely loved it .. short walk to Holt and The Pigs restaurant up the road which was lovely as we celebrated two birthdays that weekend used Holt Taxis who were on time both ways and very efficient .. Holt Country Park was a delight to walk round and Holkham Hall and Beach a must to go too. Thank you Jon for all you did for us to make our weekend stay the best you are a star hopefully we will be back .. the icing on the cake was a visit to see the Thursford Christmas Spectacular which was amazing take care x

Lovely house for a relaxing long weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Railway cottage. The separate annex was perfect for my parents and gave them their own space. The selection of toys on the upstairs rooms was fantastic, our boys played with them all weekend. We also really appreciated the sturdy stair gate. Generally the house was beautifully clean and very well equipped. It also had the best example of a welcome book that I have ever seen. The owner, Jon, was always very quick to respond to the few questions I had and was happy to have a cot set up for us. We would all happily stay again - and probably will.

Gorgeous Holt cottage

We had an excellent stay in Jon’s cottage, all rooms and beds really comfy, well equipped house to cover all needs and fabulous location close to all the north Norfolk Coastal and inland attractions. The cottage was always a great place to come back to after a coastal day and with the pubs and restaurants all booked up locally the kitchen was a great place to cook and hang out. Everything had been thought of and communication swift and clear. Highly recommend this as a holiday rental.
