“Confusing to get in. No glass on the windows. Used soap in the shower. No expected ammenities like soap and coffee. Live Lizard running across the wall. Shower only had very hot water... could not control temp. Bedspread was very worn. Dangerous steep driveway with pothole. ”

“A great deal and situated on Alicia drive south of the Kailua-Kona nightlife district. The place was clean and comfortable and very attractively priced. Definitely the Hawaiian Hale experience! The landlord was very nice and obviously invested in our having a pleasant stay. To access the unit younger to climb a stairwell - don't rent this unit if you are unable to handle stairwells or have small (mobile not babies!) children. Perfect for a couple! “Had a great stay at Lychee Hale with a wonderful host, Emma. Loved seeing the pigs, chickens, geckos, and birds. Enjoyed playing disc golf, eating fruit from the various fruit trees on the property, and watching the sun set over the Pacific from the deck each evening. ”

If you want a fancy hotel, this is not that but it is not advertised or priced as such. Well stocked kitchen, nice dining table and big sofa and TV. We didn't use the hot tub as it was too warm outside, but we did use and enjoyed the outdoor shower.
