The condo at Hyochi Nikko was exactly what we had hoped for after doing a year’s research to find a special place for our once in a lifetime trip to Maui. Firstly, the view was gorgeous and so relaxing as we watched the sun go down and come up over the waves as we sat in the living room or on the balcony. The photos online depicted well what it actually looks like. It’s a bit smaller inside, but we liked the coziness. I personally enjoyed the decor, especially all the original artwork! WIFI worked great, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for the few meals we made there. The location was fabulous as all the NW snorkeling bays were just within minutes from our condo. If a person wanted to go to the very developed Kaanapali beach area, it was only 8 mins away. At the same time, we could relax at our more peaceful, beautifully landscaped beachfront yard where we spent one afternoon watching whales breach about 1/4 a mile in front of us!! We also LOVED the quaint little strip of stores a 5 min walk away where we found the wonderful Farmer’s Market organic store that had incredible immune boosting smoothies, a salad and soup bar and six or so daily hot food items. The snorkle store (Boss Frogs) was right there as well for all your rental needs along with a great little Island hand made gift store and Bad Ass Coffee! Walt was a great owner who was always available if any issues came up. We began missing being there the minute we got home!!
