I recently stayed at a condo at Waikiki Banyan booked through Expedia, which I found out later that it was managed by Tropical Escapes Realty and Verb, with services and cleaning fees charged separately. Unfortunately, I had a deeply disappointing experience during my stay.
Despite the cleaning and service fees, there were no services or cleaning provided throughout the entire 7-day stay. When we tried contacting the service number provided, no one responded to our calls.
The condo itself had numerous issues:
Broken or non-functioning items: Power outlets, toaster, washing machine, and beach chairs were all faulty.
Inadequate window coverings: The bedroom curtains didn’t fully cover the windows, allowing light and sunlight to shine through at night, disrupting our sleep. We were forced to sleep in the kitchen area on the sofa bed for relief.
Insufficient amenities: Only four shower towels were provided for the entire 7-day stay, leaving us to reuse them throughout. Additionally, only four single-serve coffee pods were supplied for the week. no wash machine and clothes were provided in the kitchen, no filtered water, etc..
This stay fell far short of reasonable expectations for the price paid. The lack of responsiveness, poor maintenance, and inadequate provisions made this an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. I strongly feel this property is not worth the cost and would not recommend it to others.
