We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The studio had all we needed including beach and snorkel items which we did not use. The pool and hot tub were nice as were the views from both our balcony and the roof. My only issue was the location of the a/c unit which was pointed at the head of the bed which made it hard to sleep at night. Communication with the owner was good, especially when the Pacific Monarch maintenance crew barged into the unit on our last morning as I was taking a shower. They insisted on replacing the door lock apparatus which left a gaping hole in the door which was propped open to the hallway with a tool box. Sawdust covered the floor. They could not wait until checkout time at 10:00. We were granted an additional hour to checkout. As to the Pacific Monarch...the elevators can be excruciatingly slow. Also, they charge 15 to store a bag in the lobby, whether it is 15 seconds or several hours. Staff we met in the hallway were pleasant, but the counter staff seemed unconcerned with us because we were "not staying at the hotel." All in all it was a good stay for us and I would stay again.
