“Very good standard of accommodation. Very comfortable beds, bright and airy lounge area with high windows. Very rural location. Quiet but no pubs/restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend for a large group (8 adults). ”

“We had a wonderful few days staying in The Old Smiddy cottage. Fiona and David were wonderful hosts, very attentive whilst being happy to give us our space. The cottage itself was very comfortable, all the rooms were a nice size, very clean and well presented. The garden was lovely and we particularly enjoyed watching the wildlife in the burn from the garden!The area is fantastic for enjoying nature and family activities.We would definitely recommend staying here for a couple or small family.”

“What a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. On an arrival it was lovely to have a little welcome package and to find the cottage spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed. No need to have brought wash liquid, toilet rolls etc. The surrounding area is fantastic and is convenient for local amenities.Wish we could have stayed longer. ”

“The property is lovely, and the owner very resposive when light switch disintigrated. It was a shame the dishwasher program didnt work, the fire alarm fell from the ceiling and the tv was too old to take any form of digital equipment, nor did the dvd function work. Otherwise the cottage is lovely in a pretty spot The foul weather made tv more important I guess. It shortened our stay by half. “Very comfortable & very helpfull owner”

“Spent a lovely few days at the Hobbit Cottage. It has a dog friendly garden and it is a short walk to Kames Bay. You can access the Cathedral of the Isles from the end of the cul-de-sac which takes less than 5 minutes. The cottage is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. June, our host, was very attentive and you only had to ask if you needed anything.”

“Spacious and clean country home. Plenty of room for our whole family. The Walking trails were nice with a grocery store nearby but don't miss out on a delicious meal at The Clachan.”

“Not the best start, not the hosts fault but the address given was the name of the general area, nothing at all to do with the property; not only that but the phone number to call was listed as the main cottages.com number, we were searching for the property when their offices were closed though...so completely useless. The post code took us to an empty property, the what 3 words took us to the same place, we ended up having to stop and knock on doors, after driving around for about 30...
