“Plenty of room for the extended family. The dogs loved the huge, fenced in back yard. Great dock, with plenty of room for our boat and 2 wave runners, plus plenty of room for laying out, swimming ect.. The host was an excellent communicator and addressed ever question we had. ”

“I rarely do reviews, and when I do so it's because of either the absurdity or superiority of the experience. This experience was 100% the latter. This was our 1st time trying out a rental/airbnb type of stay. So, obviously we hoped for the best but mentally prepared ourselves for the mediocre. Mediocre this was NOT! “The cabin was amazing; very clean with everything we needed for our brief stay. A great re-model by the owners. Close to the Sipsey Wilderness/Bankhead National Forest where we enjoyed hiking. We fished off the dock at the cabin and enjoyed the beautiful view of Smith Lake, one of our favorite places to be. Near Chef Troy's Talk of the Town restaurant, very good food and service. “It definitely looks a lot bigger on the outside. We also thought there would be 6 individual rooms so that was a little misleading, but overall we really enjoyed our stay. The outside was beautiful and the inside kitchen was perfect. ”

“Wonderful host and home! Wouldn't change a thing. There is so much space and the master suite is enormous and separate from the other bedrooms. Quiet spot to enjoy the lake from multiple outdoor spaces including a screened porch. Loved it! ”

The cove water was incredibly muddy and debris-filled the first three days due to downpours, but after it settled it was perfect for swimming off the dock. No luck fishing, but I still enjoyed it! Beds were comfortable, showers had great pressure, and owners were super responsive to messages! “First off, Sarah was a phenomenal hostess. It’s great when you have any host that cares. She definitely wanted to ensure her guests were comfortable. Second, the house was nice a cozy. The master bed was very comfortable. Some window treatments in the two guest bedrooms would be great to ward off morning sun, but the kids didn’t mind. You’ll be with kayaking distance of Duncan Bridge but nestled in a nice little cover with plenty of water toys. Highly recommend for a convenient getaway!!”
