Unit not maintained, falling apart. Washer flooded bathroom & hallway. Kitchen faucet not attached to base & wobbled like a drunk sailor. Smoke alarm beeping incessantly. Bedroom: blinds broken and missing, curtains missing, hardware falling out of wall. Garbage bag full of damp sheets & towels left in closet. Balcony unusable due to tree overgrowth, covered in dead leaves and branches. Screen door damaged, full of holes, unusable. Only one partial roll of toilet paper provided for 12-night stay.
Maintenance did not come until Day 4 & could not fix everything. Cleaning came on Day 6 but did not clean what they were supposed to. They had to come back & still left balls of lint & hair on the bathroom floor, which were there when I arrived. Toilet paper was not delivered until Day 7.
Building in violation of city code by not having lights on in common areas including walkways & stairwells when dark outside.
Host refused to provide basic items like bathmat, kitchen towels, hot pads, tea kettle. Kitchen not well stocked. No drinking glasses except some dirty & cracked plastic ones.
Hosts never showed up to help, could never tell me when maintenance or cleaners would show up, are clearly incompetent & ineffective in communicating with maintenance & cleaners. I had to manage all maintenance & cleaning people. Luckily, I speak Spanish.
It’s clear the hosts don’t care about conditions. I suspect they are deleting the listing if it gets bad reviews then relist it.
