This is a beautiful home with lovely views of the lake. We booked the house so we could attend our daughter’s graduation from Kenyon and found it was just what we needed to regroup between events. It is only about 10 minutes from campus and has a fully equipped open concept kitchen so we were able to have some of our meals away from the overbooked restaurants and dining hall meals. The house is well represented on the website. The photos are accurate but it is even nicer in person. So glad we booked early.

This property is very clean and comfortable! Has everything you could ask for in a rental- outdoor living space on the deck with views of the lake, as well as kitchen and laundry needs. We’ll definitely rent this property again!

It was VERY clean, well stocked, and just a BEAUTIFUL place. Brenda was flexible with our needs which we really appreciated. Even though we ended up not taking our dog, it was a perfect place to have one. Even the deck was gated. Family friendly house in a nice neighborhood. Thanks Brenda!!!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at this amazing property just 10 minutes from Kenyon College. The house was gorgeous, near a lake, and had plenty of space for my family (dog included). Highly recommended for those needing space when visiting the Gambier area.

Our family enjoyed a beautiful stay at Brenda's Artistic Retreat! This was by far the cleanest property we have ever experienced. The kitchen was a dream and wonderful for making a homecooked meal for our Kenyon student, The beds were truly comfortable, the spacious shower was fantastic, and we all wanted to bring the couches home with us. :) There was a gorgeous view of the lake from the deck-the perfect place for morning coffee. Thank you for a relaxing and worry-free weekend!

I would say that this listing is 100% accurate, but it's actually understated. I've stayed in many vacation properties and am usually quite satisfied. However, this stay was exceptional. Beautifully appointed, meticulously kept, full of relaxing, energy and kindly managed. It will not disappoint

The Hostess was amazing, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. This home was spotless in every way. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could want. This beautiful home was so comfortable, everything was provided you could want. It was so calming and pleasing to one’s eye. We had the perfect view of Apple Valley Lake on an upper level deck. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this VRBO property. Brenda was fantastic to work with. Only issue was that there were no washcloths provided. Thankfully we brought a few with us just in case as we weren't sure they would be available. This home was completely renovated recently and immaculately clean. You will not be disappointed!

It was a great quiet, peaceful place to stay after attending the 3 day music festival. We were even greeted by a deer when we got back from the store.

Brenda was the best host we have ever had. She was great at communicating with us, and just one of the sweetest people we have ever met. I would rent from her anytime! We’ve stayed at other places in Apple Valley and they don’t even compare to this one. The view was beautiful, and the inside of the property is stunning. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and had plenty of space for all of us. The home was stocked with everything we needed and it was so clean! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you, Brenda!!!

Great location near lake and front entrance of Apple Valley- owner had great communication and even purchased us a new charcoal grill for use while there. Price vs amenities and spaces of house are great. Downstairs living area would be great for kids separate from upstairs or two families sharing the house. Highly recommend!!

We had a lovely and reinvigorating visit. The house was clean and pleasant and good for a larger group of mostly adults as it had many bedrooms. The kitchen was large and good for preparing large meals in. The neighborhood was nice for walks. Some of us went to nearby golf course, which was also good. A great place for a group getaway.
