“Do not deal with this lodge. We originally booked 2 nights. Due to terrible circumstances in Sri Lanka, we couldn’t make it on the first night due to flooding and access to the lodge. The next day, the lodge told us again not to go there as it was still not clear and unsafe. Therefore, I requested a refund like the day before because it wasn’t our choice not to visit, but the lodge. Since this, there has been no reply to emails or refund requests to explain. Terrible. ”

The food was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We also did a trekking tour organized by them, which turned out to be a wonderful experience. “Sehr schönes Hotel in einer alten Teefabrik. Herausragend war die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Das Essen war herrvorragend und die Zimmer sehr sauber. Wir bekamen eine Führung in der Teefabrik wo uns der Teeprozess erklärt und gezeigt wurde. Auch eine Wanderung wurde angeboten. Alles in allem nur zu empfehlen!! Bei der Hinfahrt ist es besser nach dem Weg zu fragen. Google maps führt woanders hin. ”

One of the standout moments was the morning mist covering the lower parts of the city and hills, leaving the peaks visible above it. It was a beautiful sight.
