“A clean and tidy room in this historic pub. Jez and his team are friendly, accommodating, and always happy to help. We stayed for a family wedding held at the local church. We had a wonderful day and then great food, drink, and a comfortable stay at The Black Bull. Highly recommend. ”

Our Room was cleaning and comfortable with a nespresso machine, premium teabags and fresh milk available from a fridge in the landing were welcome additions. “I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind.
