“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. “Great pub with fantastic rooms, food is great lots of choices just all our food didn’t come out together 6 of us and first person had finished by time last person had got there food otherwise no problems ”

“staff are very helpful. The food was amazing, but there is a little room for improvement on the accommodation marks on the walls. TV aerial cable draped over light fittings, and personally I would’ve liked blackout curtains as the room was very illuminated from outside lighting. but that said I would definitely stay there again. ”

“Very old building, uneven floors gave it character. Very steep steps up to the accommodation level though. No parking, though I thought there was (I guess I misread the information about this place), nearest parking was just round the corner and cost £8 overnight, i.e. 24 hours. “Very spacious room which was even better than the photos. Lovely to be so close to the Raptor Park and the free entrance that came with the room. Kitchen areas was great. Nice to have a DVD player, but need to bring own DVDs. Lovely big bathroom. Only negative was shower was very weak and hard to get a constant temperature - alterbated between freezing cold and scolding hot. Other than that a perfect stay. We would recommend ”

“We stayed for just under 3 weeks and had a lovely stay. A really charming and cute little cottage, hidden away behind the main street in Kimbolton. Though the kitchen is very compact, the air fryer and induction stove meant we could make some meals, and everything else about the cottage is cozy and welcoming. The hosts are great, and Rebecca was always very swift to respond to any questions or requests. Highly recommended.”
