We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving! There was more than enough room for our group of 9 people. Steph and Ryan were so kind and helpful when we had questions and even asked a neighbor to come help us out when we has a minor issue with needing to replace some lightbulbs. The house had gorgeous views (sunrise over the lake is not to be missed- even in Nov.!), the cute park was close by, and two full fridges provided ample room- even when we made a Thanksgiving feast! The living room furniture was super comfy and the multi-zoned heat was great for the diverse preferences of our group. Everything felt so convenient and close- even excursions to Cleveland, Cuyahoga National Park, or dinner at Twin Oast. We would definitely stay here again!

My mom has wanted to see the ocean again one more time before she died. She is fragile and can't make the trip by plane or car from Cincinnati without it exhausting her for days. When she stepped outside, she said, "God is so good," and I knew we were in the right place. My mom uses a rollator so I looked for accessible places and couldn't find one on the waterfront that matched our timing. I reached out to the Stephanie and sent me a floorplan and counted out how many steps there were, and I knew we could manage helping her up and down. The photos you see of the waterfront are exactly how close you are. We had waves that splashed up the rocks and felt the mist in strong winds. The weather was amazing, so we enjoyed our time outside a lot. The outdoor couch was comfy for reading and chatting. I appreciated that there was only one TV on each floor, because my mom would have gotten sucked in if there were one in her room. The towels were lush, rooms all had ceiling fans, and the kitchen was well equipped. The coffee/bar spoiled us. My daughter's fiancé told us that he will drag his mom there (who also has mobility issues) because it was so unexpectedly amazing. The pictures don't do it justice.There are lots of places to take walks nearby, like Nickel Plate Beach, Sheldon Marsh Preserve, McBride Arboretum and Rotary Centennial Park. The private beach is more kid focused, so we went there, but didn't spend time there. This was about as perfect as this trip could have been.

The property was just as the listing had specified. The home was roomy and well stopped and equipped with everything we would need. Being along the lakeside offered fantastic views! This was a very peaceful and enjoyable experience!

This spacious house was able to accommodate 3 generations (11 people) without feeling cramped. Convenient features like multiple sinks, refrigerators and laundry made it easy on the adults. The kids loved the built in entertainment of air hockey and foosball.

The host did a wonderful job, making her stay as comfortable as possible. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and even changed the date so that we could stay later for our Dance convention. I would highly recommend this host and all of her other properties. We sincerely appreciate everything they did to make our stay comfortable.

Dream vacation

The place was right on the lake. The house was AMAZING!! Plenty of room, and the kids loved everything from the view of the lake to the board games. The house was gorgeous and only 10 minutes from shopping, dining, and Cedar Point! My kids and boyfriend said they want to come back to this house next year.

Thankful for the reprieve

The gem of this home is the outside patio. The view is absolutely stunning! I also really appreciated the upstairs balcony because it rained a few days and I was still able to sit up there and enjoy the water. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly and walkable. I love the little park nearby and my dogs loved the beach. I’ve been to this little town several times now and will definitely come back. Make sure to dress for all seasons- it got very cold at night and rained a few days so I’m glad I brought rain boots. The kitchen isn’t super large but I just brought pre prepared meals from the butcher shop- I was on vacation after all! Had a small issue and the owners were responsive.

Icy Lake Erie is as beautiful in Winter as any other time of the year!

A great time with family for a long weekend of great food, games, and gifts. Views of the lake with eagles flying by against the sunny water were memorable. Our beds were very comfortable- I hated to get out of bed! Looking out the second floor windows seems like you could see Canada! Everything is close by- shopping, beaches and Cedar Point. It was so nice inside though so we never left the cottage. Perfect stay!

Great space

We were attending a retreat at Kalahari and needed a space for 12 people and the lighthouse was the perfect place. It’s winter so we didn’t get to enjoy all the outdoor amenities but everything inside was great for our group. We are definitely considering this location again for next years retreat!

Christmas get together

Family get together for Christmas, everyone was happy with the booking. Right on Lake Erie, loads of waterfowl right out the windows. Shopping and restaurants close by. Parking entrance a bit tight, just got to be careful.

Wonderful

This house is an absolute dream! I love it here, will most definitely come back. We had a perfect closing day at cedar point yesterday. We have passes (we live about an hour and a half south), my sister met us here from Michigan. Celebrated my son turning 8 with cousins. The rocks and waves and views and park were wonderful. I loved how the house is spread out so everyone had their space. The air hockey table was a hit with the kids. Appreciated all of the extras as well (I.e. toys/games/puzzles for kids, muffin pans, wine openers, spices, silly things we needed and you had!). Great place, makes me want a lake house!

Sibling work retreat

This home was a great place for my siblings and I to meet and continue to work on our parent’s estate. We had the use of lots of table space, comfortable bedrooms, sitting areas to view family movies and slides, and multiple views of beautiful Lake Erie’s water, shore birds and freighters. We had a very pleasant stay.
