I’m giving this stay 3 stars because, while the property itself was very good, the overall experience was not “excellent” due to the check-in process.The management company requires an external third-party identity verification before releasing check-in instructions. While this is briefly mentioned in the listing details, I did not realize it would require submitting a photo of my driver’s license along with a selfie (biometric verification). I reached out to ask if there was an alternate option, as I wasn’t comfortable providing that information to a company outside of VRBO (which already performs basic ID verification). Each response came from a different person. While replies were fairly quick, they were repetitive and simply stated that the process was required. One message even mentioned potential cancellation, which caused concern. When I contacted VRBO support for clarification, I was told I would still be charged if the reservation was canceled since it was less than 24 hours before check-in. Ultimately, I completed the third-party verification in order to avoid losing the reservation. The process felt stressful and unnecessary.
