“We asked for a late check out and even though the hotel was absolutely empty - (we were the only two people at breakfast in a room that could seat 100) the hotel still denied a late checkout (personally I think 11am checkout is too early) so we were charged an extra £20 for a 12pm checkout. “It’s so hard to find the quintessential English pub these days but the shoulder of mutton hits the spot. The food was home cooked and great, not prepackaged Pub was clean, no damp or mould The view from the beer garden was amazing overlooking the valley The room was Pub basic but clean and not mouldy. Price point was spot on Publican and chef fantastic Highly recommend”

“The place was very popular with locals so parking was a bit awkward, we arrived after 6pm and there wasn’t much room to park. Maybe one criticism would be there isn’t reserve parking for staying guests and after travelling 140 odd miles and to be faced with hunting a parking space was as I said a little awkward. But that shouldn’t take away from what was a nice place to visit great food and a generous breakfast, clean room comfy bed.”
