“Greeted upon arrival and given tour and history of property. Short time later provided cheese tray and choice of wine on screened in porch with the other guests, followed by fresh baked cookies. Very enjoyable. Short walk to the downtown area for all the dining and shopping areas, great location. Room was very clean and in good condition. Slept very well on the bed. We will stay here again on another Galena visit. ”

“I recently stayed at The Villa in the Euro Room, and it was such a lovely experience. The mansion was incredibly clean and beautifully styled, with so many charming details to admire. I loved the vibe and the thoughtful touches, like the food available...our panini was delicious! We also enjoyed a show at The Vic and returned to unwind with some Italian wine. “We came to run the marathon for the first time in Chicago and we discovered an oasis in oak park. The location was close to the train to get into the city. The neighborhood was both historic and very walkable. A number of very good restaurants were near by. Host was excellent and very responsive to all our questions. I wish we had more time to explore.”
