Our extended family (13 people, ages 1-73) does a Christmas-time stay at a new home each year. Except this year, when we decided to return to the home we used in 2022. Everything was perfect for our needs, the kitchen, living area, fire pit, outdoor area, and the pond for fishing. We were comfortable and happy and may look at a 2024 stay. Thank you!

This property was spectacular and Kelly was such a joy to work with. The home is secluded and had large areas for the dogs to run in. The views were amazing. The home was well appointed and we really liked the separate section for the secondary bedrooms that included a gathering area.

Perfect location for our family to enjoy our 14 year old's birthday. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, relaxing in the hot and on the deck in the Texas Hill Country. Our kids got to be kids. Brought their bikes and they rode all over the place. We'll be coming back!

My family celebrated our son's 16th birthday - so we 2 adults, 5 teenage boys, and 1 chocolate lab in total. They had a wonderful time relaxing, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, watching football on TV, board games, hot tub, campfire, etc. The property and decor are gorgeous, and the 7 of us had plenty of space. The dog thought the entire weekend was heaven. The house is well stocked, communication and check-in were perfect. Thank you for letting us make some fun memories!

We stayed here for a Christmas weekend with 13 family members, from small kids to grandparents, and it was perfect. The house is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The grounds are some of the best the hill country had to offer- we went hiking, played soccer, fished, kayaked, and sat by the fire at night watching the stars. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Everything at Basecamp Lodge was perfect. We were 5 adults, a 15 year old and two dogs. Cooking Thanksgiving dinner was a breeze in the very large well equipped two oven kitchen. All hands were on deck as the guys smoked the turkey outside and the ladies prepared the sides inside, then gathering together at the large dining room table to carve the bird and enjoy the feast! Over the river and through the woods we hiked the Basecamp property, puzzled, played games, watched movies and enjoyed family time around the living room fire! Did I mention time in the very large hot tub? So much fun! Thank you Kelly for checking us in and out in such an efficient way. We will be back again soon! Patti Q

This house was the perfect set up for our two families and our dogs. Beautiful views and feeling of seclusion in this quiet neighborhood. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 4.6.8.10) . Plenty of space fjr us to spread. The additional living room area with tv was a great shade fjr my older kids to watch what they want. The house is directly across from an amazing neighborhood pool and slide that the kids spent most of their time in. we also enjoyed the resort lake where we fished, paddle boarded and kayaked. The Guadalupe river access is conveniently located across the street with a private access fjr us. We expected to swim in the river but with it being so low it ended up being an exploration creek haven our kids. We also enjoyed walking our dogs in the mornings and having our dogs out there with the wide open space. Will definitely be back.

Our family stayed for four days and wish we would have had more ! The lodge was very well appointed with everything you need. Any concern we had was addressed immediately by the property manager . We enjoyed morning walks, kayaking on the lake , swimming, and relaxing on the patio. We hope to be back soon !

We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed the property. The views were amazing and we loved the outdoor seating around the fire pits. We probably used most of the firewood but it made us sit together as a family and just enjoy the beautiful nights.

This was such an amazing rental. The house was perfect for our large family with plenty of space both inside and out! The house is very clean and very well stocked. We enjoyed the cool fall night outside around the fire pit and with the heat lamp. The land is just beautiful with so many different activities to enjoy without even having to leave the property! Booking was easy communication was the best! We are looking forward to coming again in the summer. This is not a place to sleep, it’s a destination!

We were so lucky to find this amazing house on VRBO! The house and property was so peaceful,beautiful & clean. Many places outside to set with beautiful views to have that morning cup of coffee..This place is nothing short of amazing & so are the owners! They stayed in touch and responded very quickly if I had a question! This is now one of our favorite places on VRBO and will definitely will be back!

This property was very good. The host (Kelly) provided responses to questions via email & mobile text & the responses were always prompt. The porch is the most relaxing & the sunset can be watched while there. Hummingbirds & bird feeders were great to enjoy too. The property provides solitude as no noise from neighbors can be heard. The community swimming pool is close by (within 30 yards) & the pool was great (clean fun & place to sit & snack). The house is clean & decorated for relaxation with TV, wifi & anemities.
